Good job today to all students. It was a great start of our Fall sessions at DCP and Farwell recreation center! Our primary goal is to put knowledge in the hands of those that need it the most. Today on entering class we noticed two young kids standing by the door. Apparently they were worried about a potential conflict if they left the Recreation Center. So, we invited them to join our class to kill time and possibly learn some self defense if something were to happen. They did a great job! We decided to post their story to hammer home this fact, you never know when or if you will have to use your skill set. It is better to know what to do than not to. So, please practice. Once we instruct you, it is up to you to practice so that it works when it is needed.

Today was our recertification exam. All of our fitness scores were up from the last test! We need to touch up on our forms. As always it was a difficult test but 4 hours later…we are stronger ! 🥋🥋

Congratulations to our newest white belt! She worked hard all summer at our Martial Arts in the Park. She is the youngest student we’ve had that made it through the whole summer with a positive attitude and was rewarded a club t-shirt too! 😊

Today was our last class at the park. Classes will resume at DCP on September 14. Rec center classes will also resume that week.

The Date is set, 9/5/26 10:00am until it's over. No-belt exams will be held this Friday as I discussed in class, so, freshen up on your requirements.
