Jimi Hendrix almost inspired me enough to play the guitar. YOU inspired so much I became the best skater my abilities allowed. I studied skate vids like athletes do game film. Then Rodney vs. Daewon came out and I think I died a few times watching it. Your bit with People Are Strange was monumental for me. I’d invite people over just to watch that and the whole World Industries vid. I lost the thread, you’re my hero, I skate because of you and Daewon…Harold Hunter, Tom Penny, Jeff Pang, Kareem Campbell. Gotta give it up to Bam, dudes been through the wars and his pop is still smooth. Steve Caballero. Natas, The Gonz. Mr. Templeton. And all the other real ones everyone thinks about when I recite these names. We’re all in together but you have to know where you came from to know where you are going.
