And then there was one… 🥹⛳️
Back-to-school used to mean three boys, three boards, three sets of goals… and me somehow believing we had so much time. ❤️
And now, it’s just Maxx.
Sophomore year. Same kid who wrote on his 9th-grade board that he wanted to make Varsity … and and who spent the year putting in the work. ⛳️
There’s something pretty cool about pulling out last year’s goals and realizing they weren’t just something he wrote on a board. He’s still chasing them.
The house is quieter. The pictures have fewer kids in them. And apparently I am NOT emotionally prepared for how fast these “first day of school” posts change. 😂🥹
But here we go…
10th grade. One board. One Maxx. Big dreams still very much in progress. 💙⛳️
Go get ’em, buddy.
(And maybe slow down just a tiny bit for your mom.) ❤️🥹

He’s off… on Iowa week is in the books and his first day his recorded… He’s doing discrete high on the other hand, still wrestle with the abruptness of going from day and day out having him here to him not being here… Trying to figure out a pace and rhythm of what it means like to be a mom for him in this season…
My love goes out to all the mamas that are navigating the same transition… We’ve got this we’ve got each other…
