Not that we need another reason to fall in love with reading but just in case here is one more. I think it may the last form of entertainment that isn’t crammed full of ads trying to get you to buy stuff. So pick up a book and enjoy.
Happy reading.

A Pop of Indie: Michigan’s only traveling book fair made entirely of independently published kid lit authors.
What started as a small idea between and has grown to reaching 40+ authors and offering a catalogue of 150 books to Michigan elementary students.
We are reinventing the traditional book fair model creating a full literacy experience, connecting students to local authors, new books and entrepreneurship all while inspiring a lifelong love of reading.
I’m so proud of what we built and the impact we’re making on future storytellers.
Hey Michigan, are you ready to fall in love with your new favorite book fair 📚💜
Many thanks to for capturing these moments.

Sharing my recent piece I wrote for Detroit Mom. A personal reflection on my grandmother’s journey with Alzheimer’s.
Who Are We Without Our Memories?
Are you navigating a family member's Alzheimer's diagnosis? Renee shares how watching her grandmother lose her memories to Alzheimer’s forced her to question identity, inheritance, and what remains when memory fades.

I’ve been building this quietly for a while.
A space to share more of my writing, my process and the real work behind building a creative life rooted in community.
It’s a space where you’ll find the parts that don’t make it to social. The thinking behind what I’m building. The in-between moments.
If you ever felt the pull to create something meaningful, you’ll feel at home here.

Little Renee would be proud.
Proud she took a chance on herself. She kept growing, kept learning, kept following her creative heart.
This is for all the people out there taking a chance on themselves and doing what they love. Your younger self would be proud. Take a moment and appreciate all you have accomplished.
