🏹 Easy tips for teaching beginners! 💪

1️⃣Grip and alignment make it easier for new archers to keep the bow open. Try introducing this using the side plank position!

2️⃣ A solid anchor against the corner of the mouth or eye helps to stabilize the shot. If the archer can see the arrow's path, it's easier to get the hang of an accurate shot!

3️⃣ Maintaining the end position (and REFLECTING) for around three seconds will help archers with self-analysis and adjustment for the future! 👍

🎯Try this during the warm-up for your team's first practice!💪 Include a brief 5-10 second to introduce the posture prior to learning the shot cycle and strengthen important muscles for a strong shot. Students can start against a wall or bench to ease into comfortability with the position. Make sure athletes focus on pressing up through their palm and engaging the muscles just underneath the armpit (i.e. arrows in the photo); keep the shoulders, supporting arm, and hips on the same plane, perpendicular to the ground. Advanced students can try this position with a stretch band to mimic the Holding position. Give it a try and don't forget to breathe! 💨
