Transformation is usually far less dramatic than we expect. It rarely arrives through a single breakthrough, a burst of motivation, or one life changing decision. More often, it is built through the simple act of returning again and again to what matters. InnerDimensionYoga.com/fbt

In yoga, the concept of Abhyasa refers to steady and consistent practice over a long period of time. It is the understanding that growth comes not from intensity, but from repetition. Not from doing something perfectly, but from continuing to show up.

Anyone can practice when they feel inspired. The real challenge is returning when you are tired, distracted, discouraged, or simply not in the mood. Yet those are often the moments that shape us the most. Every time you come back to your mat, your breath, your meditation, or any meaningful discipline, you strengthen your capacity to stay committed even when it would be easier to walk away.

The ancient yogis understood that meaningful change is the result of sustained effort over time. This is why the practice is always the same: return. When you lose focus, return. When life becomes busy, return. When you fall off track, return.

Again and again, the path unfolds through the willingness to begin where you are and keep showing up.

What practice in your life is asking for your return today?

Here we go — 10 day silent meditation retreat at Spirit Rock!

No speaking, no news, no communication with loved ones, no tech — just the elegant simplicity of silence where the deepest insights arise.

With a recent arm surgery and then my high school best friends wife just dying of cancer, I was at her service yesterday in Asheville, North Carolina, — I now step into my 5th silent retreat carrying and feeling so much.

What happens on these retreats can often be indescribable — and I’m here for all of it.

See you on the other side.

Much love,
-Travis Eliot

This December, join me for a deeply restorative retreat in one of the most beautiful and intentional places I’ve ever experienced: Playa Viva in Zihuatanejo, Mexico.

https://www.innerdimensionyoga.com/retreats/mexico-yoga-retreat-2026/

Nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the Sierra Madre Mountains, Playa Viva is not just a luxury retreat destination. It is a regenerative resort built around sustainability, environmental stewardship, and supporting the local community. From its organic farm to its sea turtle sanctuary, every part of the experience is designed to create a deeper connection with nature and a greater sense of purpose.

Over 5 nights and 6 days, we’ll come together for an intimate retreat experience with a small group of around 38 people. Our days will include powerful yoga practices, meditation, mindfulness, nourishing meals, nature, meaningful conversations, and space to slow down enough to actually hear yourself again.

So many people spend the year pushing, producing, achieving, and carrying responsibilities without ever taking time to truly reset.

This retreat is an opportunity to step away from the noise.

To reconnect with your body.
To reconnect with your breath.
To reconnect with what matters most.

We’ll practice together, learn together, share meals together, and create the kind of experience that stays with you long after you return home.

We only have a handful of spots remaining and expect the retreat to sell out.

I would love for you to join me.

8 years ago, Inner Dimension Yoga was just an idea born from burnout, uncertainty, and a deep desire to create something meaningful.

At the time, Lauren and I were struggling financially, living in a tiny apartment, and questioning what our future would look like.

But through a lot of soul searching, faith, and hard work… Inner Dimension Yoga was created.

Since then, this community has helped us build:

powerful yoga programs,
sold out retreats around the world,
and Inner Dimension Academy — where we now train the next generation of yoga teachers through our 200 and 300-hour certifications.

None of this would exist without you.

🙏🏼 Thank you for practicing with us, believing in us, and growing alongside us over these last 8 years.

We’re deeply grateful — and incredibly excited for what’s still ahead.

🐦‍⬛ Crow pose is a combination of balance, coordination, core engagement, and learning how to distribute your weight with control and awareness.

One of the most common mistakes in crow is trying to muscle your way into the pose. In reality, the posture becomes much more accessible when you focus on creating a strong foundation through the hands, engaging the core, and gradually shifting your center of gravity forward.

It also helps develop concentration.

The moment the mind becomes scattered or hesitant, the posture usually reflects it immediately.

Like many arm balances, crow is less about forcing the pose and more about patience, repetition, and consistent practice.

You do not need to rush the process.

Build the foundation.
Stay focused.
Keep practicing.
