Your lymphatic system relies on movement to keep things flowing.

When it slows down, the body often tells you:

1. You feel puffy or swollen.

2. Your body feels heavy or stagnant.

3. You feel like your circulation just isn’t moving well.

Practices that include movement, compression, and inversion can help encourage lymphatic flow.

It’s one of the reasons therapeutic hammock work can feel so good in the body.

There’s one thing I wish every yogi understood: mobility and flow often live in tiny, intentional movements, not in big, forced stretches.

These micro movements can completely change how your body feels, and the hammock makes them safe and accessible. 

Some examples include:

• Gentle rocking or swaying side-to-side or forward-and-back to stimulate circulation without strain.

• Small hip or leg lifts and shifts while supported to encourage fluid movement from the lower body.

• Seated oscillations in a hammock to wake up the spine and torso.

• Integrating breath with each subtle motion, letting inhalation and exhalation guide the flow.

When you focus on these tiny adjustments, your body learns to recruit muscles efficiently, release tension, and move with more awareness. Movements that used to feel stiff or forced suddenly become smooth, effortless, and even enjoyable.

It’s amazing how something so small can create big, lasting changes in mobility, circulation, and overall flow.

Lotus Inversion is one of the most powerful inversions for decompressing the spine, and especially incredible for those with scoliosis.

But this is an advanced inversion, and one of the most difficult parts is the exit.

The exit requires real strength, body awareness, and aerial control, and that is exactly why this class focuses on the preparatory steps first.

The strength and awareness you need gets built step by step so that when you get there, you can get out safely and with full control.

Some of you will reach the full inversion. Others will pause at a preparatory step and keep building, and that is exactly where you are supposed to be.

Lotus Inversion is one of the most powerful poses in aerial, and also one of the most misunderstood.

It is not just about going upside down.

It is about building the strength, awareness, and trust in your body to get there safely.

This class takes you step by step through every preparatory pose.

This pose requires:

• arm and grip strength
• hip and shoulder mobility
• aerial awareness and body control
• trust in the process

And one of the most difficult parts is the exit. The exit demands the strength and control that only comes from building it properly.

The reward is deep spinal decompression, a profound sense of spaciousness, and the confidence that comes from earning your way into a pose.

Some of you will reach the full inversion, others will pause at a preparatory step, and that is exactly where you are supposed to be.

Both are the practice.
