10U won their game over Chicago Heat Friday night 5-4. With excellent pitching from Blake Pierce (6Ks), Aiven Cabrales (2Ks) and Jameson Schneider (2Ks). Cam Biel and Aiven lead the team with 2 hits each, and Parker Ferraro, John White, Dawson Eagle, Josh Kilstein, Jameson and Blake each collected one. 10U is now 4 - 0 in fall ball. Go Cougars!

The VHCBS 12U Gray Cougars are headed to Cooperstown, and we’re inviting the entire VHCBS community to help us get there at our Halloween Bags Tournament!

Join us on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Prairie House Tavern in Buffalo Grove. Registration begins at 11:00 AM.

Grab a partner, wear your best costume, and enjoy a fun day of bags, friendly competition, and Cougar community spirit all while supporting the 12U Gray team’s Cooperstown trip.

It’s time to start getting ready for 2027 8U Travel Baseball! Vernon Hills Community Baseball & Softball is bringing the kids back to the field with two optional “Shake Off the Rust” practices before official tryouts.

Shake Off the Rust:

⚾ 2027 8U Travel Baseball Tryouts:

These practices are a great opportunity for players to knock off the summer rust, get some swings in, work the glove, and most importantly have some fun with their baseball community!

We can’t wait to see our youngest Cougars out there!

Another win for Vernon Hills 10U vs the Libertyville Aces! 6-19 in 4 innings! Some sick pitching from Parker and Cam and plenty of hits to go around. Go Cougars! ⚾️💙

Cougars 10U won their fall ball game Saturday vs the Des Plaines Warriors 12-8. The team accumulated 13 hits in the game. Parker provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Vernon Hills Cougars 10U with three RBIs, a home run and a triple. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Cameron led Vernon Hills Cougars 10U with three hits in three at bats. John, Ben, and David each collected multiple hits including a huge line drive triple by David. Blake, Josh, and John pitched a solid game for the Cougars.

What an incredible evening at the 1st Annual VHCBS End of Year Celebration!

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing VHCBS families, players, coaches, volunteers and community members who came out to make this event such a tremendous success. From the wiffle ball games and the entertaining Mom’s Home Run Derby to the delicious food trucks and countless conversations with friends old and new, the day was everything we hoped it would be. We look forward to making it a tradition and seeing how we can grow it.

Most importantly, it was an opportunity to celebrate another fantastic year of Vernon Hills Community Baseball & Softball. We are incredibly proud of all that our athletes, coaches, and families accomplished this season across our Travel Baseball, Rec Baseball, and Rec Softball programs. The growth, sportsmanship, teamwork, and memories created this year are what make our community so special.

Seeing so many families together enjoying the game we all love is a reminder that VHCBS is about much more than baseball and softball, it’s about building friendships, creating lifelong memories, and strengthening our community.

Thank you for making this season one to remember. We can’t wait to see everyone back at the fields next year!

9U Cougars put up a good fight against Mt Prospect Patriots in the league championship this morning losing 2-6.

But they definitely perked up when they received their huge trophies and league tshirts for being 9U National North Champions!

The boys had an incredible 14-0 regular season earning them the 1 seed and won all 3 North side playoff games in Mercy rule on the backs of hurlers Cameron Biel, Blake Pierce, Parker Ferraro and John White.

As a coaching staff we couldn’t be more proud of their accomplishments this season. Everyone has something to be proud of!

Looking forward to a productive off season and moving up to B next spring!
