The 2026 archery season wrapped up this weekend at the Nacho Average Charity Tournament in Evansville. What a perfect way to close out the year! This event is always a favorite, bringing a fun, relaxed atmosphere that lets everyone enjoy the sport and celebrate the season together.

A big shoutout to Wyatt Thompson and Fiona Gilmore for finishing strong with new personal bests—way to go! While we didn’t bring home any new hardware this time, every archer showed just how much they’ve grown this year. From improved scores to stronger focus (and yes… an impressive collection of new dad jokes thanks to the tournament announcer), this team has a lot to be proud of.

We are incredibly grateful for the support behind the scenes. Thank you to all the donors, parents, fans, and especially the school staff and Officer Short. Your encouragement and dedication make everything we do possible.

This second season has been full of growth, opportunity, great memories, and we’re just getting started. We’re already looking ahead and have big plans for 2027!

The Spartan Archers returned to Evansville this weekend for the Nock & Roll Tournament, competing as part of 199 archers from 9 school districts. With the range all to ourselves during our flight, it was a new experience—and one we made the most of.

The girls led the charge once again. Kate Like set the tone after coming from her tennis tournament, shooting a personal best to place 7th overall in High School Girls and 3rd among Freshmen girls. Taylor Gladish followed just 3 points behind, earning 10th overall and 2nd in Senior Girls. Lacey McCarty was right there as well, only 1 point back in 11th. The competition was tight, with just a handful of points separating the top spots.

Fiona Gilmore also had a strong showing (while on crutches), breaking into the top 10 for 7th Grade Girls and finishing just 1 point shy of her personal best.

With only one tournament left in the 2026 season, this team isn’t slowing down. The focus, determination, and drive are stronger than ever. Let’s finish what we started—strong, confident, and unstoppable.

Your Spartans ventured into the jungle this weekend for the Tiger Archery Spring Classic and boy was the competition FIERCE!

There were 503 archers present representing 20 school districts full of elite talent that set the bar very high.

Will Lafferty led the charge with a new personal best, clawing his way into the Top 10 for 8th grade boys. Lacey McCarty, Kate Like, and Taylor Gladish showcased their skill and determination, each securing Top 10 finishes in their respective grades.

Caitlyn McClure and Erica Boyd also achieved new personal bests.

Coach Adams stepped into the arena, competing against 37 other coaches for a charity shoot to end the tournament and finished just outside the Top 3.

We’re proud of every arrow shot this weekend. Keep pushing, keep improving, and keep that competitive fire burning. The future is bright for this team!
Thank you to our families and fans for your continued support. Let’s keep building something special together!

Saturday was a beautiful day for an outdoor tournament at Camp Carson. What a wonderful camp and hidden little gem in Gibson County. This is always a fun shoot with many activities besides just the tournament. There were 294 archers competing and while we had 4 new personal bests, Lacey McCarty lead the charge for the Spartans finishing 8th out of all high school girls and 3rd for Junior girls. Kate Like was right there with her finishing 3rd for Freshmen girls and 13th overall for the girls high school division. Aalieyah Hayes placed 5th for 8th grade girls and 11th overall for middle school girls. Wyatt Cantwell and Erica Boyd both finished in the top 10 for their respective grades. Great job team! Keep it up, there's only a few more shoots left this year.

The Shamrock Shootout was one for the books!!

With nearly 450 archers from 22 schools—plus a fully dressed leprechaun and even a dancing raccoon mascot—the atmosphere was just as exciting as the competition was intense.

While the luck of the Irish wasn’t on the Spartans’ side this time, they showed something even better: grit, growth, and determination.

Taylor Gladish led the way with a new personal best and a 7th place finish in Senior Girls.

Kate Like followed with 11th in Freshman Girls.

Fiona Gilmore—one of our newest archers—shot a PR to take 12th in the 7th Grade Girls division.

Jayden Lambert also hit a new PR in just his 4th tournament—an exciting sign of what’s ahead.

It may have felt like David vs. Goliath at times, but the Spartans rose to the challenge. Every arrow built experience, and that momentum carried straight into an even stronger practice the next day.

Remember—there are really only two outcomes: you succeed, or you learn. This weekend, we did both 💪

And we’re not done yet! A few tournaments remain, so come out, cheer loud, and support the Spartans on the range 🎯

The progress is real. The work continues. The best may still be ahead.

The Resurrection PK Classic brought the pressure this weekend! 350 archers from 22 schools filled the various divisions and your Spartans rose to the challenge once again. The streak is alive, we’re bringing home hardware and 5 new personal bests!

The girls led the charge in dominant fashion:

Taylor Gladish recorded a new personal best to claim 1st place in Senior Girls and finish 7th overall among all high school girls!

Kate Like powered her way to a 5th place finish in Freshman Girls.

Wyatt Cantwell finished top 10 Freshman Boys

Aalieyah Hayes landed in the Top 10 for 8th Grade Girls with a new personal best as well.

No rest for the driven — the team was back on the range Sunday, wrapping up practice with a high-energy team battle where the winning squad shot a near-perfect round to take the crown. That competitive edge doesn’t clock out.

This group keeps raising the bar and finding ways to set their sights on new goals.

Come out and support your Spartans at the next tournament!
