The city of Ruidoso Downs and the Ruidoso Downs racetrack experienced catastrophic flooding on July 8 as a result of massive rainstorms.

On behalf of Heath Taylor Racing and all owners involved we are devastated by the recent loss of horses. Be assured we are working closely and in compliance with all state and federal agents at all levels. This is a very, very deep wound to many, and has been the toughest experience of my professional career. Although each individual is entitled to their opinion, the cause and starting point of this is yet to be determined. Before passing judgement remember these horse went through a once in lifetime flood at Ruidoso to where they were the ONLY barn with water, contamination, sewage, and filth up to their chest getting out of swamp like conditions. We assure transparency once it is known. At the current time we thank the hundreds of supporters that have reached out.

Heritage Place Sale Company will host its Fall Mixed Sale on October 31 through November 2 at its facility in Oklahoma City.
The sale will kick off on October 30 with a pre-sale party from 5-7 p.m. There will be live music by Steve Crossley.
The first horse will go into the ring on October 31 and continuing for two more days, each starting at 10 a.m.
There are 875 hips cataloged in this year's sale.
