Wishing the happiest of birthdays to the best team manager, grounds crewman, and pusher around, our very own Chris Lim! It would not be a Worrell 1000 without him and we are so glad he’s always ready for our next team adventure. We love you Lim and hope you have the best day today!

Today Team Roo in the Hat celebrated the end of the 50th Anniversary 2024 Worrell 1000! Congratulations to all of the teams on another great Worrell 1000! While our place isn’t what we had hoped, we are thrilled to have finished the race and having had the opportunity to allow Brett and Lachie to complete the last two legs of this race together. The memories we will take with us will last a lifetime.
We will be forever grateful to the 2024 Sandra Tartaglino Memorial Sportsmanship Award winner, 🏴☠️☠️ for their support in getting our team back in the race. We couldn’t think of a more deserving recipient of this year’s award.
We plan on spending the next few weeks reflecting on our journey and sharing some of our favorite stories and photos from the trip so stay tuned! And of course, more adventures coming soon ⛵️🦘🎩

It was a special day of sailing for Brett and Lachie White! It might have been the first time the father-son duo have sailed together in about 5 years, but you’d never know after their 6th place finish today.
Tomorrow is the last leg of the 50th Anniversary Worrell 1000. Boats will push off from Kill Devil Hills at 10:00AM and sail to Virginia Beach. We’re excited to see some family that will be waiting for us when we get there! ⛵️🦘🎩

ANNOUNCEMENT! Lachie White will be stepping in to crew the remainder of the 50th Anniversary Worrell 1000.
As a team of father-son duos, we couldn’t complete the 2024 Worrell 1000 without giving Brett and Lachie the opportunity to sail together. Happy sails today gentleman! ⛵️🦘🎩

Excerpt from the road crew diaries:
Did you know that the only way to get to Ocracoke is to take the ferry?! To account for that, the Worrell schedule needed to be adjusted today. Boats pushed off from Atlantic Beach at 8:00 this morning so road crews would have enough time to catch the 1:00PM ferry. Zack and April from team OBX, along with some other road crews, caught the first ferry at 8:00AM to ensure they would beat the boats to the beach this afternoon ⛴️🏖️
Regardless of which ferry teams were catching, it left our ground crews with some time to explore some of North Carolina’s beautiful beaches! ⛵️🦘🎩
