Operating as usual

Please remember our Veterans!

On December 7, 1941 Pearl Harbor was attacked by Japan, crippling America’s Pacific Fleet and launching us into World War II. Not many of our veterans from that war are still with us. Thank you for your sacrifice and service. We remember.

09-21-19 Fishing report. Big seas, but spread so far apart that you did not even notice them. Really good fishing today. Tuna, dolphin, blueline tilefish, skipjack and seabass.

09-09-19 Fishing report. I had two guys who charter me every year. Turned out to be meat haul monday. We had planned on running south and looking for Marlin, but after seeing lightning non stop on the way out to the south, I changed my mind and went straight out. We got bit setting out our lines, and it was non stop until I pulled out of the area near my limit. Stopped and caught a boat limit of tile fish and came home on a nice calm day.

08-30-19 and 08-31-19 Fishing report. We fished in the Wayne McLeskey Memorial marlin tournament. The first day was as pretty as it gets, and we saw life everywhere. Bait on the surface, birds picking, w**d lines, whales fish breaking the surface, everything you would want in an area you would fish in. Except marlin bites! We caught a few under sized yellowfins, and a couple bonita. Day two was much better for us as we caught two big blue marlin, and chafed off a white marlin. That white marlin loss proved costly as it would have let us finish second. Instead we were tied for 3rd on points, but lost out to UNDERDOG on the time of catch tie breaker. Beautiful weather and a lot of fun. I am hoping to get some video and pics that the guys on the boat shot. If I do I will post them up.

Please join us for a special event, The F. Wayne McLeskey, Jr.
Memorial Garden Flag Pole Dedication!

08-24-19 Pm report. Headed out in still rough seas, Although we had slack water, we caught a few Spanish. When the tide started to run we got lots of bites. wound up with a nice catch of Spanish, and a bonus King Mackerel that ate a clark spoon.

08-24-19 Fishing report AM. Headed out in rough seas, caught a bunch of spanish Mackerel. A few started not feeling so good so we came in early.

08-22-19 Fishing report. Had a group from Russia who wanted to watch the sunrise today. We left at 6 am, caught a bunch of Mackerel and Bluefish, staying close to the beach due to a strong SW wind. Back in at 10 am.

08-18-19 Fishing report. Wine Women and Fishing tournament today. We fished in a light rain most of the day. We saw one White Marlin and we caught him. The sun came out right before lines out, and it was a beautiful ride home.

08-17-19 Fishing report. We headed out with a terrible 15 to 25 forecast, and heavy rains showing on the radar. To my surprise we missed the rain except for a light 10 minute mist, and the wind never blew more than 5 mph all day!!!! We fished around the norfolk canyon, and fishing was good. We caught golden tile, blue line tile, barrel fish, black belly rose fish, black sea bass, and a big congor eel! The charter was a very fun group, and we all had a great time. I have some open dates, so call if you want to get out there.

08-16-19 AM fishing report. Nice and calm, lots of ribbons and spanish mackerel. PM we tried for cobia and kings with no luck, then caught a bunch of ribbon fish.

08-15-19 Fishing report. Flat calm day with red hot fishing. Caught all the Ribbon Fish they wanted, then caught a few Spanish and Blues to round off the day.

08-11-19 Fishing report. Slick calm day inshore. Had a mother / daughter two person charter. They did not want to keep any fish so we tossed a lot back. We kept a few to feed my mates family. They had a great time. I have a few days open so if you want to go, the fishing is good!

08-10-19 Fishing report. It was a little rougher off shore than we had hoped. It got calmer throughout the day. We caught a limit of Blue line tilefish, a few black belly rosefish, a couple of sea bass, and a bonus Wreckfish. It was very nice by the time we headed in. The charter did a great job cranking all day. the wind and fast drift prevented us from doing too much fishing in the deeper water.

08-09-19 Afternoon report. We caught as many Ribbons as they wanted, then tried to mix it up so they could experience a few types of fishing we do here in VA Beach. We caught Spanish, Fluke, and Spades.

Saw this freighter heading to sea! Thinking of adding it to our fleet!

08-08-19 Fishing report. Beautiful calm day. A bunch of ribbonfish, a few spade fish and a bonus cobia!

08-06-19 Fishing report. A late start as we took a trip from a boat that broke down. Ribbon fish were chewing, then the wind blew up from the south east and shut down the bites. We ran down the beach to the golfball to try for spanish and caught a couple, but the se wind slowed that as well. We had some kids on the boat today who did a fantastic job with the rod! Hope to see them again soon! It was a cool thing to watch, granddad, dad and sons.

08-03-19 Fishing Report. Had a tough start to the day as my mate woke up not feeling good, and I had to find a fill in on short notice. Big shout out to Lucian Montagna for helping me out today. We caught Ribbon Fish until they had all they wanted. We then tried a few wrecks for flounder, but only caught skates. We were looking for Red Drum and Cobia but they were scarce today. We then ran to Sandbridge and had a really nice class of Spanish Mackerel. Slick calm day, and a really fun group!

07-29-19 AM and PM report. Ribbons macs and blues.

07-28-19 Fishing Report. Great ribbon fishing today! These white meat fine tasting fish were chewing hard today. Now tonight the charter will be chewing on them! Saw a big cobia, but never got to cast at him because we were trolling and he was going the other way. Mackerel fishing also remains very good. Nice weather the next few days, grab you friends and lets go fishing!

07-25-19 Fishing report. Northeast winds of 15 cooled the water down a bit, and scattered the spanish Mackerel a bit. BUT it schooled up the RIBBONFISH. We had non stop action, before we stopped at ten per person. Then we trolled a while more and caught some Macs and Blues. Fun filled day! A few open days if you want to get in on it call me!

07-21-19 Fishing report. It was a little rough offshore. After catching a limit of tilefish on a deep drop trip the charter was not feeling well and asked to come in early. We ran inshore and tried for a drum for a while. We hooked one, but pulled him off. The people were very happy to be back on land. The patches did them no favors today.
