My family is from Jalisco and I’ve been riding since I was 7 years old. One of my favorite things about escaramuza is getting to practice with everyone and spend time together outside of practice too. Palomo is super sweet, which makes riding him even more special. My family is from Guanajuato, Mexico, and I have been riding for 3 years outside of escaramuza. My favorite thing about escaramuza is making funny memories with all the girls and spending time together as a team💗. One thing I love about Mora is how special she is to me every time we ride. My family is from Jalisco, and I’ve been riding for about 2 years. One of my favorite things about escaramuza is the carreras de giros because of the adrenaline and excitement they bring. My family is from Jalisco and I’ve been riding for about 11 years outside of escaramuza. One of my favorite things about escaramuza has been learning more about the sport and meeting all the girls on the team❤️. My name is Maya Zamora-Gonzalez🤎
I’m 18 years old, and my horse’s name is Duvalín. My parents are from Michoacán y el Estado de México I’ve been around horses and “riding” my whole life, but I dropped it for a while and picked it back up about 4–5 years ago. One of my favorite things about escaramuza is the way we get to represent our culture proudly, pero también all the people we meet and friendships we make along the way!!
My favorite thing about my horse, Duvalín, is the way he sticks his tongue out to the side whenever he’s working lol. Being my first owned horse, he’s taught me a lot about patience and responsibility. Un momento favorito en el lienzo has to be when we all get together at the beginning or end and just admire all of our hard work paying off — the long days, late nights, tears shed, etc. It really reminds me that it’s all worth it.
A favorite song of mine is “Lo Logré” by Kane Rodriguez because this journey has been a dream come true not just for me, but for so many others too. There were moments where we wanted to give up and couldn’t see a path forward, but little by little doors kept opening, and we’re becoming the team we always dreamed of being! 🧡

Hello, my name is Stephanie Conchita Nevarez. 🌟
I’m 18 years old, and my horse’s name is Suspiro. My parents are from Durango and Guerrero, Mexico. This is my second official year doing escaramuza, but I’ve been around horses my whole life. I started riding when I was 5 years old, and I also participated in show jumping when I was 11!
My favorite part about participating in this sport is the second family that comes with it, along with the dedication, discipline, and passion we all share for it. My favorite part of the rutina is when we all come together at the start and the adrenaline rush hits. In that moment, all your thoughts are focused on yourself, your horse, and your teammates. I also love the abanico!
Suspiro is one of the three horses I have. I got him around two years ago, and he has taught me not only to trust him, but also to trust myself. He’s shown me that in order for things to be perfect, they require time and patience💗
