Great day at Dove Creek with the pheasants 4ever group and all the ladies who made it down today. I think they all broke a few birds and hammered the steel. Big thanks to Tim Moxley for handling the steel side of things. We look forward to this day every year and enjoy shooting with these gals no matter their experience levels.

Nice cool morning on the 5stand today at Dove Creek. In the singles event the mayor takes 1st with a 21 followed by Mike Swick for 2nd with a 19. In the buddies big congrats to brothers Chuck and Danny Wilson on taking top dogs with a 49. 2nd spot goes to teams D. Wilson and Steve Dalton along with Swick and Jerry Cunningham both with 48s. C. Wilson and the mayor along with Pat Brate and the mayor claim Lewis. Saturday morning is the pheasants 4ever group putting on a ladies only shoot, if your not on the schedule please let me know ASAP. Saturday night will be 27yard buddy shoots. Then next Monday will be big bore pump guns on the 5stand. Stay safe and shoot straight

What a great way with even a better group of men and women to spend labor day doing what we love on the 5stand at Dove Creek. Congrats to the mayor on taking 1st in the singles with a 23. Followed by Mike Steel with 21 for 2nd and John Thomas takes 3rd with 19. Huge shout out to teams Mike Swick and Pat Brate, Mike Steel and the mayor, Swick and Steel and Danny Wilson and Steel all sharing top dogs with 47s each. Luke Wells and Danny Wilson along with Wells and John Thomas take 2nd with 46s apiece. Zach Howell and Jeremy Riggles claim Lewis class with 41. Great shooting by everyone today. Saturday at 6pm will be 27yard buddy shoots shooting trap birds only. Stay safe and shoot straight

Rain held off for a great day of grinding clays at Dove Creek today. Big congrats to Mike Steel on 1st place in the singles event,smashing out a 22. 2nd spot goes to Danny Wilson with a 20. Followed by the mayor for 3rd with 19. On the buddy side of the shoot big congrats to top dogs Chuck Wilson and the mayor with a 49. Steel and Steve Dalton take 2nd with 47. Ronnie Wilson and Wayne Slaughter along with Steel and Don Roberts claim Lewis with 41s each. Saturday morning will be steel shoots followed by 27yard buddy shoots at 6pm. We will be shooting regular 5stand on Labor day. Stay safe and shoot straight

Good weather for the guys on the 5stand today at Dove Creek. Firstly a huge huge thank you to Pat Brate and Chuck and Danny Wilson for taking care of things in my absence the past couple shoots and everyone involved in scoring, loading, set up and tear down. What a terrific group of folks we have and are blessed with. In the singles event Danny Wilson knocked em out with a 22. Followed by Jerry Cunningham with a 20 for 2nd spot. Then Steve Dalton wipes up 3rd with a 19. On the buddy shoots Mike Steel and Steve Dalton take top dogs with a 48. Teams Jerry Cunningham and Mike Swick along with Steel and Chuck Wilson and Danny Wilson and Steve Dalton all take 2nds with 45s apiece. Chuck Wilson and Steve Dalton along with Pat Brate and Tom Veatch claim Lewis class with 41s each. And on a good note Mrs. Mayor got home today and is doing pretty well. She should be back to fixing yens lunch soon. Again thank you all for your help. More 5stand action on Monday. Stay safe and shoot straight

What a humid day on the 5stand at Dove Creek today. In the singles event huge congrats to Steve Dalton hammering out a 20 for first place. Chuck Wilson and Ryan take 2nd with 19 apiece. On the buddy side big congrats to brothers Chuck and Danny Wilson for taking top dogs with a 45. D. Wilson and Mike Steel take 2nd with 44. Ronnie Wilson and Pat Brate along with Steel and Mike Swick claim Lewis with 41s each. Saturday morning will be steel shoots followed by 27yard buddy shoots at 6pm. Stay safe and shoot straight

Rain held off for the most part on a hot day grinding clays at Dove Creek today. In the singles event huge congrats to Danny Wilson taking 1st hammering a 24. Steve Dalton takes 2nd with a 23, followed by Mike Steel for 3rd with a 20. On the buddy shoots Steve Dalton and Mike Steel take top dogs with a brutal 49. Danny Wilson and Mike Swick along with D. Wilson and Dalton take 2nd with 47s each. Swick and Jerry Cunningham claim Lewis with 43. Great shooting by all with all the broken birds. Saturday night will be 27yard buddy shoots, then more 5stand on Monday. Stay safe and shoot straight

Some challenging birds at Dove Creek today on the 5stand. Big congrats to Danny Wilson taking 1st in the singles event with 19. Followed by Ronnie Wilson for 2nd with a 16. Buddy shoots top dogs goes to Mike Swick and Danny Wilson hammering out a 46. Teams Swick and Tom Veatch along with Pat Brate and Danny Wilson take 2nd with 42s each. Don Roberts and John Bateman along with Roberts and Ronnie Wilson claim Lewis at 36. Saturday morning will be steel shoots followed by 27yard buddy shoots at 6pm. We will be shooting the next 3 Saturday nights. Next Monday will be big guns again on the 5stand. Stay safe and shoot straight.
