What a legacy to leave behind. 💙🎳

The WaHi Girls Bowling program would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Junior Chelsea Faden for selecting our program as the beneficiary of her Eagle Scout Service Project!

Chelsea saw an opportunity to completely transform our team space and took on every part of the process herself — from identifying the need, designing and planning the project, fundraising for materials, coordinating construction, and helping bring the entire vision to life.

The end result is something truly special.❤️

What was once an unfinished and underutilized area has now been transformed into a polished, organized, and functional team room that future Blue Devils will benefit from for years to come.

Some of the incredible upgrades include:
🔹 Finished flooring and wall work
🔹 Fresh paint and complete room remodel
🔹 Custom-built cubbies for both 2-ball and 3-ball bowling bags
🔹 New cabinet and drawer storage space
🔹 Wall-mounted letter organizer system
🔹 Shoe organization area
🔹 TV with wall mount and Raspberry Pi display system for team announcements, photos, schedules, and updates
🔹 Improved organization and functionality throughout the entire space

This project took countless hours of planning, leadership, fundraising, construction, and hard work — and Chelsea handled it all with pride and dedication.

Chelsea, thank you for investing in this program and leaving behind something that will positively impact athletes for many years to come. Your WaHi Bowling family is incredibly proud of you and forever grateful for the work you put into creating such an amazing space.

💙 Tonight we celebrate our Seniors as they graduate and begin an exciting new chapter in their lives.

These athletes have been such an important part of our program — not just for what they accomplished on the lanes, but for the leadership, dedication, positivity, and heart they brought to the team every single day. They helped create a culture of support, hard work, and family that will continue long after graduation.

We are incredibly proud of the young women they’ve become and so thankful for everything they’ve given to this program over the years. Watching them grow as bowlers, teammates, leaders, and people has been truly special. 💙🎳

No matter where life takes them next, they will always be part of the WaHi Bowling family.

Congratulations seniors — we can’t wait to see all the amazing things ahead for each of you. ❤️💙

In just 2 weeks, our Walla Walla High School Blue Devils Girls Bowling Team will be headed to US High School Bowling National Tournament to represent Walla Walla on the NATIONAL stage! 💙🎳

After an unforgettable season that included:

🏆 WIAA State Champions

…these girls are getting ready for one final challenge against some of the best teams in the country. 🇺🇸

📍 Team Event — Saturday, June 20

📍 Survivor Rounds Continue — Monday, June 22

WOW. What an unforgettable night for WaHi Girls Bowling. 💙🎳

Last night, over 80 people packed Bowlaway Lanes in support of our girls and their journey to Nationals — and what an incredible showing it was from our community.👏

We had teams representing Walla Walla School District facilities, transportation, athletics, district office, elementary schools, community businesses, and our amazingly supportive league bowlers all come together for one cause. The energy in the building all night long was absolutely electric ⚡️!!

Not only was it competitive, but it was FUN. Participants got the chance to experience a little glimpse into what our athletes go through by bowling 3 full games themselves… and by the end of the night, there were definitely quite a few people joking about how sore and tired they were afterward! 😂🎳 It gave everyone an even greater appreciation for the physical and mental demands these girls take on throughout the season.

There were some HUGE scores thrown as well:
🎳 Scott Adams from the Athletic Department Team rolled a PERFECT GAME 300!
🎳 Ron Skifstad narrowly missed perfection with an incredible 297
🎳 Chris Ghent fired a 265
🎳 Amber Davin from Garrison Middle School rolled a 251

And our WaHi girls showed up in a big way too:
🔥 Reagan Hendley — 279
🔥 Jenna Hutchins — 262
🔥 Amelia Hubbard — 259
🔥 Chelsea Faden — 234
🔥 Noelle Farnam — 231
🔥 Alliana Zierenberg — 215

Our Nationals Team took home 1st Place honors by an incredible 428 pins over the Lady League Bowlers! 💪

One of the most special moments of the night though? A huge shoutout goes to 6-year-old Aubrey who bowled an AMAZING 208 game! 🌟

Between entry fees, raffle tickets, silent auction items, and the 50/50 drawing, last night’s event raised an incredible $2,545 for the team.

Because of YOUR support, our girls have officially reached the fundraising goal needed to attend Nationals. ❤️

A very special thank you goes out to Ray Davis and Bowlaway Lanes for their continued support of this program and for generously donating all proceeds from last night’s event back to the team.

Thank you as well to all of the parents, volunteers, and Bowlaway staff who worked so hard behind the scenes to make the night such a success.

And finally — thank you to every single person who showed up, donated, bowled, bought raffle tickets, bid in the silent auction, or simply supported these girls along the way. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience for these student athletes, and it would not be possible without this amazing community behind them.
