Span Sports for Kids

Another successful drop-off at First Tee. I was able to collect dozens of clubs, bags, shoes, balls and other equipment. Thanks to the generosity of all the people who donated to my organization.

For the past 5 years, I have collected baseball and golf equipment through an organization I created, Span Sports for Kids. Span Sports for Kids started as my Bar Mitzvah project, and I have collected and donated thousands of pieces of sports equipment to underprivileged children. I have partnered with Pitch In For Baseball & Softball, an organization located in Harleysville, Pennsylvania. Pitch In For Baseball and Softball is a non-profit charity that focuses on the collection and distribution of new and gently used baseball and softball equipment. The collected equipment is then given to youth leagues in underserved communities around the world. I also collect golf equipment for First Tee Metropolitan New York, a non-profit organization that provides golf opportunities for the underprivileged youth in the Metropolitan area.

Will dropped off his collection of golf equipment to First Tee Metropolitan New York today at Weequahic Golf Course. He collected over 30 golf bags and hundreds of clubs, balls and shoes. Special shout out to Goozman Erbes for her support.

Will delivered a ton of baseball equipment to Pitch In For Baseball & Softball today. This is his 4th year collecting. Next week he will deliver all of the golf donations to First Tee of Newark.

Alex and Will dropped off about 700 pieces of golf equipment to The First Tee of Essex County. The equipment will support underprivileged children in New Jersey to learn the game of golf.

We have collected over 1,500 pieces of golf and baseball equipment this year. We will be donating the golf gear to The First Tee of Essex County and baseball gear to Pitch In For Baseball () once again.

It is that time of year again! My brother Will and I are collecting sports equipment to donate to underprivileged children all around the world.

I have been collecting and donating sports equipment for the past 5 years when I began for my bar mitzvah project. Last year, Will joined me in this process in order to complete his bar mitzvah project, and we officially created Span Sports for Kids.

We are focussing specifically on baseball and golf equipment this year. The baseball equipment that we collect will be donated to Pitch in for Baseball (PIFB) in Harleysville, Pennsylvania. PIFB distributes equipment to various leagues in need around the globe. The golf equipment that we collect will be donated to The First Tee of Essex County, New Jersey.

Alex and Will dropped of a truck full of baseball gear to Pitch In For Baseball in early December. The boys have been collecting gear as part of Span Sports for Kids for the full year. This marks Alex's 4th year collecting and donating to PIFB. This year he joined forces with Will to create Span Sports for Kids.

Together they donated close to 1,000 pieces of baseball equipment. Great job!
