I'm 28 years old, married and work as an RN. In September 2014, I was my heaviest EVER. It just was not working for me. So, here I am.
I was ashamed, embarrassed and knew I had no one and nothing to blame but myself. I had done EVERY weight loss system, every diet, did a wellness program through my job, signed up for the gym. As a night shift nurse I was trying to go to the gym after working my shift in the morning, often times having been up for 24+ hrs at that point and my workouts were just not effective. I was tired, exhauste
d and hated how I looked. So, I decided to do something about it. (Or at least try, yet AGAIN another fitness program/weight loss system). A friend of mine had been posting all of this fitness stuff on Facebook and all these motivating, positive posts. I messaged her, asked her what she was doing and it turned out she was doing 21 Day Fix and drinking this stuff called Shakeology. I decided to jump into it with her, my sister and my husband! It taught me how to "eat clean". By starting to eat clean, I realized just how much junk and chemical filled food I had been eating, thinking it was healthy the whole time! The colored containers helped me with portion control and the workouts were great because they were only 30 minutes. Just 30 minutes of my day and I was done. As a night shift nurse who works 12 hour shifts, 30 minute workouts in my living room made a HUGE difference in my life and my ability to fit workouts in. After my 1st round, I had lost 10 lbs. My husband had lost 20 lb!! My sister had lost 10 lbs as well! We all felt great and were looking better. At that point, I signed up as a Team Beachbody Coach. At first it was for a discount on my Shakeology, but soon I saw I could motivate people and help people see it's not so hard. That it's not like climbing Mount Everest. I could show people that it CAN BE DONE. With support, the right nutrition, and the right tools, YOU CAN DO IT! This is my page. I've lost 35 lbs so far by doing Beachbody Programs like 21 day fix, 21 day fix Extreme, PiYo and drinking Shakeology every day. So this page is just as much for me, to keep me motivated to help other people and to give people helpful, healthy tips, ideas, recipes and just a look at a real person on her own fitness journey!
