Hey guys! Not health & fitness related but if you're looking to rescue a dog, this little lady seems so sweet and sadly, has been in a shelter for over 400 days!!
If you have in your heart to give this poor baby a home, then you are an angel!!
Please share!! :)
Day 416! Hello Friends! Today is unfortunately Wendy’s 416th day at the Animal Adoption Center. We are perplexed as to why this beautiful, affectionate and sweet girl is still with us! Could it be her size? Could it be her breed? Could it be that no one has given her a chance? For those of you who may not know our love sponge Wendy you can learn more about her, by watching her video at: https://youtu.be/-XsACyR5pdM. Wendy is a five year old bulldog/terrier mix who was used as a breading dog. She takes a little while to build trust, but once she does it is all sloppy kisses. Wendy is very loved and well cared for at our center, but this sweetie truly deserves a forever home. Won’t you take seconds and help Wendy by sharing this post? Wendy is well behaved and housebroken. She LOVES a ball and is happy to play for a while and then CRASH! Wendy is a fairly slow introduction with other dogs and doesn't currently have any cat pals. She would be fine in a house where folks work all day. Wendy is a wonderful girl who needs a hero to come along. She will be a great a companion for someone! We know her family is out there. Wendy has 298 friends on facebook – let’s get her to 400! https://www.facebook.com/ #!/pages/Wonderful-Wendys-Second-Chance/877460225617062 and together let’s find her a home! For more information, please call our shelter at 856-435-9116 or you can email Wendy’s pet pal, Liz at [email protected].

So proud of my husband Jim Boardman!! He made a commitment to challenge himself and he's done amazing!! He is 3 weeks away from finishing his program Body Beast. The next phase is the phase where you cut carbs and burn off fat so you have even more muscle showing!!!
He is rocking Body Beast and has inspired me to try it as well (the lean version for women, of course!) !!! So proud of you, Jim!!!

"If you want something you've never had, you need to do something you've never done before."
I am not proud of the first photo. But my progress since then, hell yes!!
The first picture was at rock bottom. Had tried and tried, but in the end had always given up and went back to the comfort of food. Until the very last time I will EVER give up. That part of my life is over. I gave up my old life and started a new one in September 2014 with my husband, my sister and my best friend, because I desperately needed it. I felt bloated, tired all the time and NOTHING fitted nicely or even looked fairly good.
I can never thank my friend (and now coach) enough for posting over and over on Facebook how great she felt, how healthy she was getting and sparking my interest. Thank you thank you!! People like me need that one person and that one more chance at weight loss and a new beginning to give us one more reason to try,try AGAIN. And this time I tried and succeeded!!
It is not easy. I struggle with lots of things. But learning how to eat, the right portion and most importantly, EXERCISING daily has made a huge impact on my success. I used to just go through spurts of exercise. Once a month. Once a year. Now it's a part of my daily life! Do I skip once in awhile? Sure, who doesn't?? But it's still a part of my life regularly, consistently. And that's what makes a difference.
So if you're someone who is struggling or who has always struggled..rest easy because you CAN overcome. It truly is a mind over matter. Throw out your excuses. Get mad! Find your determination deep inside. Challenge yourself!! Prove to yourself and yourself alone that YOU can do it! Stop beating yourself up. Just put in the work, stay dedicated and consistent. Eat clean! SWEAT. Get your heart going! Walking the dog ain't gonna cut it!!
I hope this helps anyone out there struggling. I can help if you have questions about what I did, how I did it, or just want to talk to someone who knows what you're going through! I am down 35 lbs but have more to go..at least 30 more lbs to go!
Fitness is a journey, not a destination.
If you want something you've never had, you need to do something you've never done before. :)
