Another beautiful morning in Avalon for a Fundamentals class!

We had a great Dive Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) class this weekend. While the marine layer remained low, the sea lions emerged to play in the kelp forests. Congrats to the students! And we are looking forward to more classes this winter.

This weekend’s Fundamentals is a rap, and the students did absolutely amazing! There is a reason why the GUE Fundamentals course is one of the most challenging yet rewarding courses in the industry. Well done to the team, and a big thank you to .jung for allowing me to intern and serve as his cameraman.

Team SixSeven (🤷‍♂️) did a fantastic job completing their Rescue Diver Course! We had a packed schedule and they all met it head on. Way to go team!

Started the fitness challenge a little early today—figured August deserved a head start. Still going strong with the Veterans Outdoor Challenge too. LETS GOOO!

Beautiful dive this morning at Shaw’s Cove in Laguna Beach. Walls of 🦞’s, a sleepy juvenile leopard 🦈, and tons of fish with a little surge through the arches. Huge shout-out to Andrew Hung and OCUE - Orange County Underwater Explorers for showing me around. 10/10 recommend.

HDI will be moving to Huntington Beach, CA, this July so that our COO, Jamie, can continue her surgical veterinarian training. We look forward to joining the community and linking up with friends on the West Coast.
