HAPPY MONDAY PEOPLE AND LISTEN UP:
Here are 5 steps for BEGINNERS starting on their fitness journey (cultivated by yours truly):
1. DEFINE YOUR GOALS 📈
- What is your WHY? This is extremely important as it allows you to create the perfect program for your goals.
2. CREATING A PROGRAM 🏋️♀️
- Creating a program can be challenging, but there is an easy way to simplify it. It should be enough that you can COMMIT to, but not too much to where it is unsustainable.
3. FOCUS ON NUTRITION 🥗
- It is true, 20% comes from working out. The other 80% is the kitchen. And yeah, they were right. Same with the training. START OFF SMALL.
4. FOCUS ON RECOVERY 🛌
- PRIORITIZE SLEEP. Being a night owl doesn’t usually work well with trying to see progress. This is your body’s time to recover from the day and prepare you for the next.
5. SUPPLEMENTS? 💊
- Don’t get wrapped up on supplementation more than you need too. Supplements can help, but you don’t need an entire cabinet worth of vitamins and minerals (unless you have a diagnosed reason).

HOW TO KNOW WHEN YOU’RE OVERTRAINING👇🏾
1. Constant Soreness
• Your volume might be too high! If you’re volume is too high, you might allow your body to repair and recover the way it needs to see progress
• Your training frequency! You can have lower training volume in your sessions but if your overall training frequency is high you might encounter the same issue (example: Training legs 4 times a week)
2. Lack of energy
• if you’re constantly tired! Tbh I know alot of people who enjoy working out want to train every day, but if you notice your energy levels dropping because of this, you might be training too much.
• An UNDERRATED sign is having to take a break from your training program more frequently! You should be able to move through your program fully if programmed right. If you constantly have to take breaks, you might need to dial it back a bit.
