Today’s reminder: care can be small.
A cup of tea. A deep breath. Five quiet minutes before everyone else wakes up. Stepping outside for sunlight. Texting someone back when you finally have the energy.
Healing isn’t always dramatic. Sometimes it’s just returning to yourself a little at a time. 🌿

✨ ASK THE DOULA FRIDAYS ✨
No question is too small.
Pregnancy, postpartum, relationships, nervous system shifts, newborn life, emotional changes, recovery, rest, intimacy after birth, preparing for labor… let’s talk about it.

Sometimes I think one of the most important parts of this work is simply reminding people that they are allowed to be human.
Not productive. Not perfectly healed. Not endlessly giving.
Just human.
So much of what I offer through Ancestral Roots Wellness is really about helping people feel held during the seasons where life feels unfamiliar.
And honestly? I think we all need more spaces where softness is allowed.
Thank you for being here with me. 🌿🤎

Everyone talks about the baby.
Not enough people talk about:
• identity shifts
• overstimulation
• grief
• loneliness
• rage
• relationship changes
• touch exhaustion
• healing while caregiving
Postpartum is not just physical recovery. It’s a full life transition.
And you deserve support through all of it. 🤍

A lot of people don’t realize how deeply pregnancy, postpartum, caregiving, grief, and chronic stress can live in the nervous system.
Sometimes healing doesn’t start with “doing more.”
Sometimes it starts with finally feeling safe enough to exhale.
✨ Reiki sessions available:
• In-person • Live distance • Recorded distance sessions
Gentle support for rest, grounding, emotional overwhelm, transition, and reconnection to self.

Most people hear “doula” and think birth.
But the truth is, my work often begins long before labor… and continues long after birth.
At Ancestral Roots Wellness, I support people through the emotional, physical, spiritual, and identity shifts that come with becoming.
That can look like:
🌿 Prenatal support
🌿 Postpartum care
🌿 Reiki + nervous system support
🌿 Herbal wellness
🌿 Perinatal mental health support
🌿 Relationship & identity transitions
🌿 Grief and loss support
🌿 Holding space through the in-between seasons
Because care shouldn’t stop after the baby arrives. And healing was never meant to happen alone.

Today, we honor the many faces of motherhood. 🌿
To the mothers raising children with love, exhaustion, sacrifice, tenderness, and strength every single day—we celebrate you.
To the grandmothers, aunties, godmothers, bonus moms, chosen mothers, foster mothers, doulas, caretakers, mentors, and community nurturers who mother through presence, guidance, protection, and care—we celebrate you too.
To those longing to become mothers.
To those grieving mothers.
To those grieving children.
To those navigating complicated relationships with motherhood or with their own mothers.
To the mothers carrying invisible burdens behind warm smiles.
To the postpartum parents learning themselves all over again.
To those spending today in remembrance instead of celebration.
We see you. 🤍
Motherhood is not one story. It is sacred, layered, joyful, overwhelming, healing, heartbreaking, transformative work.
Today, may you feel held in whatever way you need most.
May you rest without guilt.
May you be cared for as deeply as you care for others.
And may you remember that nurturing life—in all the ways we do it—is worthy of honor.
Happy Mother’s Day, from all of us at Ancestral Roots Wellness. 🌱

May is Maternal Mental Health Awareness Month 💛
And while it’s powerful to see this space finally receiving more recognition, it’s also important to remember—this has always mattered.
Pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood are often painted as purely joyful… but the truth is, they can also be overwhelming, isolating, and deeply emotional transitions.
Maternal mental health includes things like:
• Postpartum depression
• Anxiety and panic
• Rage and irritability
• Intrusive thoughts
• Grief, identity shifts, and feeling disconnected
And it can show up at any point—not just immediately after birth.
You are not meant to navigate this alone.
At Ancestral Roots, we hold space for the full spectrum of this experience—through grounding support, education, and care that honors both your emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
Whether you’re in the thick of it, supporting someone who is, or simply learning—this month is a reminder:
💛 You deserve to feel supported
💛 Your emotions are valid
💛 There is no “right” way to move through this
If this resonates, my space is always open.
