Since early July, we have had the amazing world-renowned Flying Royals in residence at Sportsplex New Windsor. They are offering a full schedule of flying trapeze classes, open to the public, along with special events including “Pro” classes for advanced flyers and Tuesday night “Royals Night” events featuring a class and a professional showcase of their amazing aerial artistry. They are with us only through the end of September, so don’t wait.

In fact, your next big chance is tonight – Tuesday September 8, for Royals Night. Come on out.

All activities are conducted in compliance with applicable COVID-19 guidelines. Class sizes are limited, masks are required, and social distancing practices are in place.

And, We're Back!!!

We are very excited to announce that flying trapeze is back in the Hudson Valley, through a new partnership with Sportsplex New Windsor and The Flying Royals.

This is your chance to fly with the international award-winning flyers and expert coaches of The Flying Royals. Operating under stringent health and safety protocols exceeding the requirements of New York State and other relevant authorities, we will be offering a full schedule of public flying trapeze classes through the summer. We have special classes each weekday for kids participating in the Sportsplex summer camp program.

Public classes are available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:30-5:00 pm and 7:30-9:00 pm, and Saturdays from 12:30-2:00pm and 2:30-4:00 pm.

On Tuesday evenings, starting on July 7th, join us for Royal Nights, a special evening of fun and flying, featuring a professional demo by the Royals, a chance to fly, and a delicious food truck on site. The cost to participate in a class is $75 for ages 13 and up, and $60 for kids between 6 and 12 years old. To register for a class, email [email protected]. Our team is also available for special events such as intensive workshops, birthday parties, organizational team-building events, and performances. In addition to regular flying trapeze classes, expert instruction is available in other circus disciplines including aerial performance, handstands, juggling, and flexibility/conditioning. A portion of the proceeds from this program will be donated in support of Safe Harbors of the Hudson’s RitzKidz Circus on the Green, providing free social circus training to young people in the City of Newburgh.
