🌟 Congratulations to the City of Chicago - NPA's Innovative Organization of the Year!

The City's Street Smarts program was selected as it reflects a behavior-first parking compliance approach, focusing on deterrence and public awareness versus simple punishment or revenue. As a reimagined tool for enforcement, Street Smarts puts the emphasis on supporting effective urban mobility, keeping critical transit corridors and bike lanes clear.

The program was developed as a coordinated effort between the Department of Transportation, Department of Finance, and City Council, ensuring the program's political endorsement, operational efficiency, and public transparency.
