Change, transform and grow. Just a few of the opportunities hidden within your life. And, should you choose not to lean in, step forward, adapt, accept, change, transform and grow, you fall backward. And, believe it or not, you have a choice. I’m curious, what are you choosing:

🤔optimism and positivity
🤔discouragement and negativity
🤔solutions and growth

“Hear” for you. Reach out, drop a comment. Let me know how you’re handling the hard in your life and how I can help you through the challenges.

My thoughts. My thoughts and how I managed them was truly one of my biggest challenges as a single parent.

Letting go of the thoughts that truly do not serve you takes practice and time.

How are you doing, moms? Are your thoughts directing your feelings, your reactions, your decisions?

How are your thoughts supporting you in positive ways?

Believe it or not, we can learn how to manage our thoughts and choose to live by the supportive words hanging out in our heads or the negative words hanging out in our heads. Which ones are you choosing?

If you’re interested in learning more about ways to understand the thoughts that float in and around in your mind (as a recently divorced mom) send a message. Let’s talk.

Just breathe.

Sometimes, in the middle of everything that feels out of control, it’s important to stop what we’re doing and breathe.

Deep intentional breathes. Letting go of all the chatter in our mind, letting go of the tomorrow that has us feeling anxious, afraid and worried. Pausing to breathe in the now and what is today, this moment and what we can control, within ourselves, within our lives, within this day.

Hear for you!

I’m curious, what are the thoughts in your mind saying?

Are they telling you you’re not worthy of love?

Are they telling you that “this” is too hard?

Are they telling you that life feels overwhelming?

Do you know that these are just a few of the thoughts that could potentially keep us stuck in life?

Do you know that the above thoughts are just a few of the thoughts, if repeated enough and believed, that will eventually travel in a downward spiral from our minds to our bodies, diming our energy within, creating emotional and physical pain, creating illness within.🥺

If you find yourself mentally caught in a whirlwind of thoughts that tend to hold you back from taking control of your life, let’s talk. Drop a comment or send a message. Let’s talk about a few ways that you can use your thoughts in a way that feels uplifting and supportive.

Hear for you!

A healthy mind is equally as important, probably more (imho) than a healthy body. Reality is, if your mind is healthy you’re also caring for your body.

One of the most supportive actions I took as a newly divorced mom was feeding my mind and soul (maybe not in that order) with nurturing and supportive information.

I found that if I didn’t feed my spiritual and mental needs I couldn’t manage the emotional heartbreak and overwhelm of being recently divorced and single parent of 4 children under the age of 9.

On the days when I didn’t intentionally make time for these two very important actions, (feeding my mind and spiritual needs) well let’s just say those were my hardest days, the days where I felt everything was out of control, the days where I felt like my entire life was falling apart, the days where I felt hopeless.

I learned, after much trial and error, that I truly was in control of my spiritual connection with my higher power, whom I know as God and, I was also in control of the thoughts that hung out in my mind throughout the day.

Even now, as my children are grown with families of their own and I find myself in a new season of life, I continue to remind myself that I am in control of the the thoughts that I choose to focus on (key word being choose), the thoughts I choose to entertain throughout the day.

Life is about learning, growing, having fun and also, learning how to adapt in the midst of the emotional storms that pop up unexpectedly.

If you’re in the middle of a storm and feel as if you’ve lost your anchor, send a message, leave a comment. Let’s talk.

Leaving a few suggestions here for those of you who may be recently divorced with children; for those of you who’s not sure what’s next; those of you who might be totally consumed by all the emotions pulsating through your body; those of you who just want to feel better.

I’m not saying these habits will change your life immediately, what I’m saying is these habits will help you to get your life back on track.

If you or someone you know is recently divorced and find yourself struggling throughout your day, message me. Let’s talk about what’s next for you and your children.

Crazy thought, right?! How does a recently divorced mom experience peace? As a divorced mom of a teenager making scary life choices, where does peace fit into that life experience?! How do we manage moments of peace when we’re the sole provider for our families?

I feel these questions as I’ve been there, I’ve experienced these questions and life challenges. Not gonna lie, it’s hard sometimes, finding the peace we seek, at times, this quest for peace in our life, in our home feels impossible. And yet, it is possible… to create time for peaceful moments.

If you’re in the space of living in chaos and want to create a more peace centered life, send me a message. Let’s connect and figure out how you can change the energy that surrounds you from chaos to peace.

Hear for you!

Mom’s, have you taken your emotional health temperature lately?

Single parenting can trigger a lot of heavy emotions, i.e., stress, frustration, loss, sadness, anger, heartbreak, indecisiveness, confusion, overwhelm.

As a single mom myself, I experienced many of these feelings and more when raising my children. The one thing I’ve learned through my journey as a single parent is NOT to hold these feelings in. Not talking with anyone about ways you can resolve or work through “your” emotions will ultimately affect your children. And, eventually, if not immediately, your children will start mimicking your behavior and actions.

So I ask you, what do you want your children to learn from you? Healthy or unhealthy behaviors?

What are you doing to take care of yourself, moms? How are you healing your emotional triggers so they don’t trickle down to your children?

I know, this is straight to the point and maybe a little harsh and, I want you to know that you matter, your health, (emotional as well as physical) matters!

If we learn to take care of our mental/emotional health we ultimately pass along valuable insight to our children. Insight that will support them as they journey through their lives.
