“Thank you” SWBID for another year of support for our neighborhood park!
The restoration and upgrading of the park at the corner of 4th & G Streets SW is an effort of the Waterfront Gateway Neighborhood Association.
Amidon Sidewalk Park was completed in 1967 as part of the Soouthwest DC urban renewal project. As a complement to the adjacent Amidon Field which hosts baseball and other team sports, Amidon Sidewalk Park was intended for less active recreation, including a bocce call court, game tables, and a climbing sculpture for children.
