We were recently presented with a very generous donation from at The Robert E Day Jr Capital Sprints Regatta! We’d like to send a very heartfelt thank you to the board members (especially Stephen, Pam and Carl who joined us at Cap Sprints) and members of C*C for the support of our team and our continued work of helping to make rowing as accessible as possible to kids in DC!

Our final but certainly not least CJR goes to Kennedy Kavanagh. She was also a team captain, helped to manage our social media accounts and was also a great teammate and leader.
Where did you attend high school? Basis DC ( .dc )
What college/university are you planning on attending? The University of Michigan ( )
What was your favorite class of boat to row or did you have a favorite lineup? My favorite boat is the Pair Force One 2x with my amazing stroke seat Sophie Schell. I miss when the boat was the low tax bracket and only myself and Sophie ever rowed in it.
How long have you rowed for Capital Juniors? 5 years
What is your favorite memory rowing for Capital? My favorite memory with Capital was last year at Mid-Atlantics going to PJs Pancake House with all of my favorite people and exploring New Jersey.
Do you have any advice to current or future members? Make friends, be respectful, and no matter what, never be the boat that people are going to the refs about.
What will you miss most about the team? Ellis, Tyne, Natalia, Arlo, Lucas, Merritt, Julia, Wally, and my Sophie Schell.
What are your future plans? I want to meet as many people as possible and make the most of the years I have ahead of me.
Congrats and good luck Kennedy!!!
