GOOD NEWS AND BAD NEWS!

The bad news is that we didn't finish Pastor Moore's roof today.

The GOOD NEWS is that you still have a chance on the fun and blessing TOMORROW AT 1PM. Many of today's helpers are plum worn out, and we could use some new blood to help invigorate the rest of tomorrow. Help us complete this great work for this great couple!

Here are some of the other events the Elizabeth City Chamber of Commerce is supporting during Coast Guard Week.

We may be last on the events, but we are 3 DAYS LONG!

Just a reminder that this weekend all active-duty Coast Guard members may golf for free and have free use of equipment, balls, and tees.

PRAISE REPORT AND REMINDER: [Correction]
I just got an e-mail stating that Fellowship Baptist Church in Moyock is sending a large love offering to help with the project (even though they are Southern Baptist and not Missionary Baptist like I was led to believe!). That is Matthew 5:16 in action, just like New Community Church of Elizabeth City and my parents, Wayland and Janice Guthrie Owen. GOD IS SO GOOD! This latest gift covered what we needed for the project on Saturday, and gives a good start on when we try to do the interior later. Thank You, Jesus, and Fellowship Baptist, for helping RIGHT ON TIME!

Now we just need God to provide the right servants, with right hearts and/or right skills to complete this great project, like Nehemiah said. Please pray for this, if you don't happen to be the answer to that prayer. If you are the answer, I look forward to working with you Saturday.

You are very welcome, Laura Stockdale Berryy. As I told Eric, anytime New Community Church of Elizabeth City, needs them, let me know. We plan to use them on the "Raise the Roof Party" this Saturday, where the NCC Ladies led by Adam N Mayra Wilson (Mayra actually) will be serving the workers sandwiches, chips, and water.

Lovely evening at Matthews Creek.
Half the greens are mowed, and hope to mow the other half in the morning. It is still very wet, and I don't want the mower scarring the greens.
Several men were out all day, dispute the soggy conditions.

Just a reminder that we are just ONE WEEK AWAY. We need all the skilled and unskilled help we can get in order to do this in one day.
