🤗I love days like this. Today, my good fren Big B hopped out of those braids and right into my chair for a cute little middle part Bob Quickweave! It is slightly elevated in the back with face framing longer lengths at the front.
First, B was lathered with The Answer Relaxing Hair Bath. The soothing Lavender, Peppermint and Tea Tree are not only aromatherapeutic but have antisceptic qualities to awaken the scalp. Next, she received a Curevana Hair & Scalp Detox with Activated Charcoal to detoxify the Hair follicles, Kaolin Clay rto gently exfoliate the scalp by removing sebum and old skin cellsand Oat Kernel Flour to moisture the scalp and relieve itching and dryness. Finally, her hair was nourished and hydrated with the new Bless My Hair! Paradise Punch Moisture Masque For Dry Hair!

💭THE GREAT LCO (LIQUID CREAM OIL) vs. LOC (LIQUID OIL CREAM) DEBATE!
I'm an LCO girl for a few reasons:
📌 The majority of clients need hydration not oils, so I am a big proponent of hydrating my clients' hair throughout the service in each step through use of the Bless My Hair! haircare line which contains natural humectants & emollients to pe*****te the cuticle layer of the hair shaft, draw moisture in and keep it there.
-When wearing natural curls, I employ the LCO method and my cream is simply the Eternal Bliss Argan Conditioner which offers crazy curl definition & shine! I may or may not even apply oil more than twice a week, specifically to the ends of my hair.
📌 While each service is tailored to the client's specific needs, for straight styles I like to seal w/ cream-based, protein-enriched conditioning products to prevent frizz and to lock moisture in. If the client is wearing their hair curly, I might consider the LOC method. However, oils can provide a barrier which is hard for moisture & nutrients to pe*****te. This barrier can also lead to a cream leaving a white, grainy residue if applied to wet hair that has already had oil applied. (I might consider applying the LOC method only if the oil was applied as a hot oil treatment, hair was rinsed and then cream was applied as a styling aid or finishing product. (Most creams are water-based and finishing with one on a straight style may leave hair frizzy.)
WITH THAT BEING SAID...
📌Everyone's hair is unique and there is no one method that fits all. Clients who wear their natural and whose hair tends to be dry may prefer to finish with a cream prior to a twist-out, braids or blowout for softness & moisture. She understands that maintaining the health of her hair with this color will require moisturization, hydration and delicate care of her new cut & color.
When considering going blonde, it is important to note the following:
•Blonding services are more costly than other services to begin and maintain because they require a specially trained professional to render the services, specialized products, more service time, and more maintenance. Depending on hair history and desired level, services can take up to 12 hours.
•Everyone's hair is not strong enough to be lightened to this degree AND maintain length. The degree to which the hair's natural pigment is removed (and the care and products used during and after service) determine whether or not the hair remains pliable, elastic and moisturized enough to sustain continued length.
•Within a few days and sometimes weeks, the yellow undertones that are a result of having pre-lightened the hair WILL become visible. Anti-brass color brightening shampoos/Conditioners can help with this, but it is inevitable; hence, the more frequent trips to the salon. Also hair this light can take on a yellow hue after simply being exposed to cigarette smoke, dust, direct heat and styling products.
