Before you say yes or no to anything, stop and 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁. Not your family, not your friends—just you. Let’s face it, people are mostly out for themselves, even the nice ones. Self-interest will always prevail.⁣
⁣
𝗔𝗿𝘁, 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹, 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 are the real elixirs for the soul. So, make sure you're indulging in those regularly!⁣

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸. Stand up for them, sure, but don't hold your breath for the world to change. It never has.⁣

The city is not for the faint of heart! - nor dull people. If you like “safe and pretty,” Europe will surely be a better choice for you.⁣

Dubai shows its passionate soul through the sensory overload you will find here. Everywhere you go the scent of oud, sandalwood, oranges, and flowers surrounds you. The spices give unexpected exotic flavors to all meals, deserts, and drinks. For some reason, linen has never felt so soft on my skin and silk so luxurious and buttery. During the day the sunlight illuminates every corner helping you see details you never observed before; yet at night, the lamps create a kaleidoscope of colors for your eyes to play with.⁣

Before I came here, I knew I either was going to hate Dubai or love it. I think you know where I stand. 😉⁣

Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤️⁣
Today is one of the most special ones I have had in my entire life. I am spending it with my grandmother (96) in Brasil, who is in hospice care. Today was a day full of chocolates, candy, and MANY stories about our family that I heard for the first time. ⁣
We laughed hard! ⁣
I had the chance to tell her how much I love her, how strong she is, and that our family would not be here without her. My grandmother is the hardest working woman I have met in my life; the most determined; the most creative - a total boss lady! ⁣

Sending so much love to my husband, my boss, and all the friends who are supporting me so I can be here with her. ⁣
