Childhood isn’t something to speed through.
Children need time to move, explore, repeat, and grow at their own pace.
Support creates the conditions for that growth — not pressure.

The chime goes around the circle. Every single child wants to ring it.

Every single time.
Ritual and repetition are how young children learn — and how they fall in love with showing up.

Tot and preschooler classes at Breathing Space are built around both.
Semester classes for crawlers through age 4, on Capitol Hill.

What looks like “not listening” is often a child still developing the ability to process, regulate, and respond.

That skill grows with support — not pressure.

Forty-five minutes. You and your little one, moving together, singing something silly, holding a balance pose for approximately one second before dissolving into laughter.
Preschooler Yoga & Creative Movement or Tot Yoga & Play classes build coordination, body awareness, and the kind of focused attention that shows up everywhere from circle time to bedtime. But honestly? The laughter is the point too.

Ages crawling–4 years. Capitol Hill. May-June semester enrollment open now.

Supporting young children means proximity, consistency, and a regulated adult presence.
Building safety over time creates the foundation for learning and growth.

Crossing the body, shifting weight, coordinating both sides these are the patterns that support how children develop attention and regulation.

This kind of movement is not extra.

It is part of how the brain organizes itself.

When children have consistent access to it,
focus becomes more available,
transitions become easier,
and the body holds itself with more stability.

This is the work happening in class , even when it looks simple.

For families noticing high energy or difficulty with focus,
this is often the starting point.

In the middle of the movement, the distractions, the moments that don’t go as planned.

And still, you stay.

This is what we see in class — not perfect participation, but connection. Shared space.

Figuring it out together.

Happy Mother’s Day to the ones showing up for all of it.
