Since 2021, the Cynara Gender Training Platform has delivered 50 small-group, feminist, and anti-oppression trainings for more than 500 people
plus 12 free mini-workshops to hundreds more.

We’ve awarded more than 121 scholarships valuing over $90,000 USD.

From August 2024 through February 2025 the Cynara Gender Training Platform is taking a break

We will not be hosting trainings during this time.

In the meantime, many of the trainers will be offering their courses elsewhere. Please follow and connect with them so that you can stay up-to-date with their work.

Introduction to the DEI spectrum, decolonizing and liberatory frameworks.

Session 2: History Analysis - Wednesday, July 24th
Introduction and application of history analysis, including global case studies shared by peers

Session 3: Systems Approaches and Liberatory Design - Friday, Jul 26th
Overview of 5-level systems analysis and relevance to overall design theory; introduction of universal design principles

Session 4: Power Analysis - Monday, July 29th
Introduction of power analysis tools and use of power analysis in program management through power exercises

Session 5: Organizing Principles - Wednesday, July 31st
Overview of continuation of white savior complex in international development and use of organizing principles to better manage programs

Session 6: Connection to broader systems - Friday, August 2nd
Bringing all the concepts together and exploring how this work can support broader systemic change.
