Huge Congratulations to our very own Alan Follis! Alan was the MVP of the Inaugural AD47 Football Leadership academy in 2015! He went on to Lead West Jones to its first State Championship in the HISTORY of the School! Alan Went on to graduate from Mississippi State University. Now, He’s on his way to becoming a CERTIFIED Public Accountant. Alan has exemplified what The AD47 Football Leadership Academy embody. Character, Leadership, Discipline, Follow-Through, and Grit, All under the umbrella of FAITH! He serves his community each year as a coach continuously giving back. Keep setting the bar Alan. We are proud of you!

Congratulations to Alan Follis for passing all four sections of the CPA exam! 👏 While serving as a Graduate Assistant for the Adkerson School of Accountancy, Alan completed this major achievement in just 10 months. We’re grateful to have him and so proud of all he’s accomplished!

The AD47 Football Leadership Academy mourns the loss of Mr. Billy Howard. A true Pioneer and Visionary who not only loved his community, but was a consistent partner who generously poured into our youth. Thank you for a life well lived.

It is hard to believe that we are embarking on 11 consecutive years of the AD47 Football Leadership Academy. 11 years! WOW! I want to thank OUR COMMUNITY for stepping up and identifying with the principles and values that we are instilling in OUR Youth. Ability will open doors for our youth! I Thoroughly enjoyed discussing the mission and the Vision of The AD47 Football Leadership Academy, and the platform we are using to advance our community through the game of football with the Sertoma Club of Laurel!

Although talent will take you a long way; CHARACTER, LEADERSHIP, DISCIPLE, FOLLOW-THROUGH, and GRIT has a much higher ceiling!

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.

Our local Kiwanis club does a Phenomenal job of of working to live out this mission statement! Blessed to be able to share with them the vision we have for the AD47 Football Leadership Academy! We can never pay it back, but we can always Pay. It. Forward! 10 YEARS AND COUNTING! So blessed to be a product of the Laurel Community.
