Reminder Archers

Tonight we will be starting to practice at Upper Elementary aka North. Practice will be at the same time 530-7pm. Please come into the gym doors at the back of the building. See you all tonight!

Another great practice tonight! Just a reminder no practice next week due to the holiday. We also hopefully will have a bigger practice space when we come back from break!!

It’s almost that time archers!!! Archery practice will begin after fall break. We will be practicing every Tuesday and Thursday in the high school cafeteria from 5:30 to 7pm for all 6th 7th and 8th graders until the end of November. Then with our 🤞🤞 we will be in a gym the rest of our season. Please let me knowing if you have any questions. Hope to see lots of new faces this season. See you all on the 18th for our first practice! 🎯🎯

There will be No archery practice this week on Wednesday. We are however invited again next week to practice with the high school team on Monday 4/11 from 3:30 - 5 at the armory. There will be no practice again next Wednesday of next week.

Next week Monday 4/4 and Wednesday 4/6 if your archer would like to practice the high school team will be having practice after school from 3:30pm to 5pm at the armory! If your archer will be there please let me know so I can make sure the bow they have been using will be down there for them to use. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Today is the day we have been working so hard for…Indiana State Tournament! We will have an archer shoot bullseye at 2:35pm and the team will all shoot at 3:45pm.

Archer families- We will all need to be there by 1:30pm today. I have your archers bracelet and will meet each of you at the doors. Once I get up there and get us registered I will text you to let you know a specific meeting place. The map of the fairgrounds is here just in case you need it again.

Tomorrow is the big day for our team! All of these archers have come so far in such a short time. Tomorrow is about having fun, new experiences and lasting memories. 🎯.

This archery team did amazing today. They have never shot 3D before and went in with such confidence!! We may not have had a 1st place finish today but you are all #1 in my book. Way to go team❤️🎯

We are excited for a new adventure this weekend! We will be shooting in Sullivan’s 3D tournament this Saturday at 10:30am. Archer parents please have your archer at the school around 8:30am with their Archery Shirt on! Can’t wait to see our archers continue to do amazing things❤️🎯

The discounted tickets for The State Tournament have been purchased for those that have reached out to me. They will all be mailed with our archer tickets so we should have them within the next couple weeks.

The teams flight times for state are complete. The team will all shot in the 3D tournament at 3:45 on 3/12/22 in Indianapolis at the fair grounds. We will have one archer shot in the bullseye tournament at 2:30. Can’t wait to see all these archer have this experience! 🎯🎯

Archery Parents
Today is the last day I can purchase discounted tickets for your entrance into state. These tickets are $7.50 each or you can pay at the door for $10 each.

Please let me know by 5pm today so I can make that purchase.

I would like to have a parent meeting this Wednesday to discuss upcoming tournaments and state. If you could please come in with your archer when you drop them off at 6 on Wednesday 2/16/22 that would be appreciated. Hope to see you all there!

*Archery Fundraiser*

As many of you know this is the 1st year Washington Junior High has had an archery team. Our small team, on our first year, will be completing in the state tournament and we are in desperate need of some new arrows and hopefully the team will be able to offset some of the costs for this tournament for our archers.

With that we are reaching out to our Facebook friends and family! If you feel you can help below is a calendar for the month of February, comment below with a day you would like. You will agree to donate the dollar amount corresponding to that date. Example, if you choose the 10th, you would donate $10. I will do my best to keep the calendar up to date as dates get chosen.

For the month of February we will still be practicing in the cafeteria Monday and Wednesdays from 6-730. Please have your archer come to the front doors of the junior high to be dropped off and picked up. Any 6th, 7th,or 8th graders are welcome to join. Don’t forget any new archer will have to have a permission slip form signed. Hope to see some new faces this month!!!

Our small archery team had an archer individually qualify for state! Because of that our entire team is eligible to shoot in the 3D tournament at state ( hopefully I can register us quick enough to get enough spots). Congratulations archers for your hard work!! 🎯🎉

Our scores are up and posted for our Monday night tournament and …. Wow 🤩 look at those scores we had both of our guys in the top 10 for middle school division boys and 4 of our girls in the top 10 for the girls division! Way to go archers!! 🎯🥳

The Junior High Archery Team will be participating in another tournament Monday evening 1/31/22 in Jasper. Our flight time will be at 7pm so archers make sure your at the Junior High Entrance no later than 6pm. Parents and visitors are encouraged. The address for this tournament is:
1600 St. Charles St. in Jasper

Archer parents please remember I need you to sign a waiver upon drop off Monday evening. If we don’t have this waiver signed your archer will not be able to shoot in the tournament.
