Happy Saturday, race fam! 🏁

We are back at Southern National Raceway Park on this beautiful Saturday for not one, but ✌️ Charger races this evening!

At Landon’s last two races, he qualified 4th out of 18 cars and brought home a 6th-place finish in both races. 👏🏻 We could not be more proud of him. He is learning so much each week, gaining confidence behind the wheel, and most importantly, having an absolute blast doing what he loves.

Green flag drops at 7 PM this evening, and we are ready for another fun night at the track!

Landon had his 4th race of the season this past Saturday at Southern National Motorsports Park!

Landon and the crew headed up early for practice, and he made some huge gains right off the bat. Each week he’s getting more comfortable behind the wheel and learning so much in a short amount of time.

He absolutely blew Mom and Dad away by qualifying 4th out of 17 cars — that alone felt like a big win for us!

He started the race in 4th, but got hung out on the outside and held up by another car, which cost him a few positions early on. Even so, he stayed focused, kept pace with the cars ahead, and brought it home with a solid 7th place finish.

We are so proud of the progress he’s making each week — and most importantly, he’s having fun doing it!

Happy Sunday, race fam. 🏁

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a nervous wreck today… but it’s also such a bittersweet day for this mama.

I’ve watched Landon follow his dad around the racetrack since he was just a little fella, soaking it all in. Saturday nights were spent at the track, and the rest of the week he was racing something — his bike, his Big Wheel, his four-wheeler… you name it. My coffee table had tire marks from the many hours of racing diecast cars, calling out the names of the guys he watched on Saturday nights with his dad — Tyler Matthews, Butterbean Queen, and Louis White.

In his mind, he was out there racing them himself — just like his dad.

He has dreamed of the day he could drive his dad’s car… and that day has finally arrived.

New paint scheme.
New number.
And his name where his dad’s used to be.

It’s such a joy to watch them grow and learn, but goodness, I wish time would slow down just a little.

This year will be a year of learning — learning a new car (there’s a big difference from Bando to Charger), learning a new style of racing, and sharpening those skills. I have no doubt he will rise to the challenge and love every minute of it.

Mama may be a nervous wreck… but I will always love seeing my kids chase their dreams and do what makes them happy. 💙🏁

Good evening, Race Fam! 🏁

It’s been a couple of months since we’ve given an update! We took a little break, but the guys have been hard at work getting the Charger ready and putting in some solid practice time. It’s been a fun off-season — but we are more than ready to get back to racing!

Last year was absolutely incredible for Landon. He won the track championship at Langley Speedway, finished 4th in the nation, and 2nd in the state, missing the State Championship by just 3 points! He racked up 13 wins, 15 top 3 finishes, and 3 top 5s. It was truly an unforgettable send-off from the Bando world.

This year, Landon is officially moving up to the Charger division! I honestly can’t decide who’s more excited — him or his dad. We’re so excited to watch him take on this new challenge and continue to grow and learn behind the wheel.

His first race will be this Sunday at Southern National Raceway Park! Green flag drops at 3 PM and kicks off the track’s Speed Week — which is always such a great time!

Hey race fam! 🏁🔥

Landon is wrapping up the 2025 season at his home track, Southern National Motorsports Park, for the 25th Annual Thanksgiving Classic! This is a huge 3-day event that’s absolutely action packed!

👉 Friday: Green flag drops at 7:30 PM
👉 Saturday: Green flag drops at 5:00 PM
👉 Sunday: The big Late Model race kicks off at 12:30 PM

Landon will be racing Friday night and Saturday night, and the weekend will finish with the huge Late Model race on Sunday. If you love racing, you definitely won’t want to miss this!

I would say this is probably Landon’s last Bando race before he moves up… but if we’ve learned anything, it’s that you never really know when these two will decide to show up and race. 😅
Case in point: last Friday they decided to head to Florence, SC on Saturday… and came home with the win! 🏆
