Ok, with all the details worked out, our Contribution site is now up and live. If you have not contributed yet via one of our "paper forms" please consider using our modern hi-tech site. Please read the content carefully, it is important. The Campaign is close to our required amount and signatures (of Waterbury Citizens), for the Citizen's Election Program funding, but we still have some to go and your contribution could make the difference. Thank you all who have contributed so far, the response has been wonderful and thank all of you who follow the link below. My good friend the late Tony Bergin used to tell me, "good people are needed to serve", I am following his advice, I truly want to SERVE the Citizens Waterbury and the State of Connecticut.

Bill Demaida and I spent some time with Sue Pronovost of Brass City Harvest on Saturday viewing the plans for the Mad River Food Hub on Mill Street. Sue is certainly excited about the project and she has good cause. This is a win-win for the South end, the farmers who need the services, the students who will be participating and the City of Waterbury. With the cleaning facility, market and cafe there will be something for everyone here. I was excited when I saw this project come before the City Plan Commision and that we were able to make some changes to the recently adopted Plan of Conservation and Development to include it. In my 10 years on the board I've seen lots of projects come across our table and it is very rewarding to see one launch like this one has. Keep up the good work Sue !

Took the afternoon away from the campaign trail to attend the Boy Scout Order of The Arrow annual Tschitani Lodge banquet. My son Andrew Work is the Lodge Chief, he is the youth leader for the organization which encompasses most of the State of CT. They are the Honor Society of Boy Scouting. They are a service group working at the Scout camps and promoting the Scouting program. I am the adult Advisor for the Greater Waterbury area and have been an active member of the group since 1973. Today I got to be the proud father watching his 18 year old son stand tall among 100+ members. The guest speaker, a U.S. Navy submarine Captain, began his talk with a quote from Andrew's State of The Lodge address. Well done Andrew!

Great article from the Waterbury Observer. The 75th district deserves to be represented in Hartford by someone who will fight for all its residents. Vote WORK 2016!!
Raymond Work is the Republican nominee for the Special Election to fill Connecticut’s 75th District seat. Work, a small business owner, has served the city of Waterbury as a member and chairman of the City Plan Commission. He is also an active member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, a Boy Scout Leader and a mentor of the Kennedy High School Robotics team.
“I want to be the guy to go to Hartford to represent all of the 75th district for all the people of the district. Collectively we have been forgotten and that needs to change,” Work said.
Work was the unanimous choice of 75th district Republican Town Committee members and has seen early support from party members.
“Ray is the breath of fresh air that our district needs and we have already begun the work to get him to Hartford,” 5th Ward Alderman Roger Sherman said.
Former RTC Chairman, Jason Van Stone said, “The 75th district needs someone who can lead the district out of controversy. The last Democrat Representative has issues with federal authorities. The gentleman that the Democrats have endorsed also has had the FBI questioning him. The district deserves better.”
The special election takes place on April 26th.
