This week, we dove into all things apples! From picking and balancing games that tested our agility to counting seeds for hands-on number recognition, our learners were fully immersed. We practiced letter recognition, explored adding, and even did a fun science experiment where we hypothesized what would happen to apples in different liquids! 🍎✨

This week, we dove into everything PUMPKINS! Our little learners explored and engaged with hands-on activities that brought learning to life:

🅿️ Learned the letter P
📜 Enjoyed the 5 Little Pumpkins poem, practicing tracking print and finding letters P, L, O, and F
🎨 Crafted playdough pumpkins
🍂 Dissected pumpkins to learn about their parts
🔢 Worked on counting and number recognition by counting pumpkin seeds
🎯 Played a pumpkin ring toss to practice numbers

🦉 Week 2 Recap: Homeschool Discovery Recess Club 🦉

Last week was all about owls! 🦉 We had a hoot learning through play and creativity. Here's what we explored:

✨ Learned the letter O
📖 Read a fun story about owls
🛠️ Made cozy nests
🧪 Dissected real owl pellets to discover what they eat!
🔢 Practiced counting and number recognition by "feeding" our owls
🔍 Went on a scavenger hunt to uncover fascinating facts about the owls that call Maine home!

Our young learners had an absolute blast while building their literacy, math, and science skills! They can’t wait for the next adventure!
