This weighs heavily on my heart. Many of you know Kelly Kohls, her husband, Mike, and her daughter, Emily. They have been a huge part of our 360 family since Emily was 5! Many of you have seen Kelly multiple days throughout the week, holding down her bleacher spot and always supporting her daughter and the team!

Kelly is fighting, and we REALLY could use OUR support! Please take a second to read through the paragraph below. You may think the smallest donation or gesture of support may not make a difference, but it really does.

Kelly was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 esophageal cancer, a devastating diagnosis that has brought significant challenges for her, Mike, and Emily. She began treatment on September 11 and is approaching this fight with remarkable strength, courage, and determination. Anyone who knows Kelly knows one thing for certain: she is a fighter.

As Kelly focuses her energy on treatment and recovery, we have an opportunity to help ease some of the burdens facing her family. By surrounding them with love, encouragement, prayers, and practical support, we can remind them they don't have to face this journey alone.

Congratulations TEAM, on winning another Combat CRNR team title. Fortunately, we have won quite few over the years. This one was special because the last Combat CRNR was 2019 (before Covid). The 2019 and 2026 teams are a lot different. We still have so many vets, and OGs, but we have newer and hungry faces as well. It makes me proud to know that while the 2019 and 2026 teams are so different, it shows there is a proven system and proven formula. When the dust settles, no pounding our chest and no running around like a mad man. Instead, show some grace, and act like you’ve been there before. I am very proud of our team for carrying on a successful 17 years body of work, and proud tradition. Thank you to our home base, and the entire Wi360JJ network. Appreciate all the real ones and everyone for all of your support 🙏 We may not win every future team title, but when we decide to show up good things happen. 🥋 🙇‍♂️

This past week started with a trip to LA to see my friends and long time students Andrew and Jess. They opened .academy.bjj 1 year ago, and built an amazing community. It was an honor and a privilege to teach and spend time with everyone. After I promoted Andrew to 1st degree 🥋, he promoted Jess to blue belt 💙 Congratulations, again!
I look forward to watching the gym grow!
The next day was off to Vegas to coach at Master Worlds. Jiu-Jitsu Con and Master World is such an amazing event! We are so proud of everyone who competed. You all showed your heart, your grit, and your skill out there. Everyone got better for giving yourselves the opportunity!
It’s hard to put the highs, lows, and everything in between with these competitions into a post. It goes beyond that. It’s about being there together, and supporting each other through it all. There were so many great memories, and ton of laughs along the way. At the end of the day, the experience is priceless!

Congratulations to all of competitors who put it in the line this weekend at the IBJJF Chicago Open. All of you are better for it! This how you grow, you learn, and you evolve both as a competitor and practitioner. This is how you take your JJ to the next level. I know some of you conquered your goals, and some came up a bit short. It’s all part of the process. It was great seeing everyone hanging out, and supporting each other. Lots a laughs, and great memories as always!

Had a great time visiting Green Bay Jiu Jitsu last weekend! Rob Schuster and Andy Kazik have built something special! Green Bay was my first affiliate going back to 2010. We have been working together and accomplished so much together over the past 16 years! I am so proud to promote you both to 3rd degree 🥋 🙇‍♂️ Well deserved is an understatement, OSS!

Late post here. However, we wanted to take a second to recognize our competitors who competed at Grappling Industries a couple weeks ago. We did not have anywhere close to all of our youth competitors, but still managed to bring home the 2nd place trophy 🏆 The adult competition for the tournament was light in general. We had multiple adult competitors with no one in their divisions. That left our sole adult competitor, Q! As a white belt, he entered the NoGi intermediate division, and brought home 🥉 As always, very proud of the JJ, the intensity, and class brought by our team each time we step out on the mats.
Also … BIG S/O to Caleb and Ari Mansalis. They both competed at Kids American Nationals in Las Vegas last weekend! GREAT job, boys! 👏 Some wins, some losses, and ton of knowledge and experience gained. It’s my goal to make sure you both accomplish your goal next year! I am very proud of you both.🫡 🙇‍♂️
