Every Easter we participate in The Crosswalk at IB, which symbolizes Jesus carrying the cross to his crucifixion.
*
The Crosswalk is...1 mile Barbell Back Rack Walk (135#/95#) or a challenging weight.
*
When 1 person drops their barbell during the walk, everyone else must drop theirs as well and do 3 OTB burpees. (Father, Son, Holy Spirit). Once done, everyone clean and jerks the bar back onto their backs and starts walking again.
*
When you are done with your mile, each participant will continue holding their bars on their backs until all participants cross the mile marker. Once all participants have completed the mile, everyone drops the bars at the same time together.

Weight machines and isolated lifts limit your range of motion and can get repetitive. This is why we love functional fitness and odd object training, because your body is “the machine”.

We have partnered up with The Wave Performance Center, and our new facility will be located at:
The Wave Performance Center (14650 Woodstock Blvd, Waverly, NE).
The Wave is an organization that aligns strongly with our vision for IB and will provide a great support structure. We will continue to operate IB as a functional fitness facility with our current classes, while also being able to grow our programs. Some exciting future changes include implementing a Sports Performance program and a Foundations(beginners) class to help reach ALL AGES and FITNESS LEVELS within the community!

Your barbell pathway for your sn**ch should be a straight line upwards!
To keep this pathway:
1.Move your knees back as the bar travels upward.
2.Bring the bar to your hips, not your hips to the bar (following along your upper legs)
3. Pull your elbows up into a scarecrow position, not pointing backwards (to keep the bar close and not bouncing away from you)
4.Once bar is at chest height, move fast, rotate arms and grip underneath bar and lock out your arms in the catch.

Today we participated in a "13 Heroes" partner WOD in honor of the 13 service men/women who were KIA in Afghanistan on August 26, 2021 protecting US citizens and allies.
Thank you to everyone who joined us to make this a memorable event!
The WAVE (Waverly Athletic Village for Excellence) is a multisport facility with a fitness center, 70x70 artificial turf area, 6 batting/pitching cages, Hack Attack, a HitTrax cage, golf simulator and a skybox that overlooks our training area.
