Today, at Frank D. Moates Elementary, we discussed GO, SLOW, & WHOA foods! The scholars had to work in groups to determine which food item belong to what group.
They learned it's important to eat more GO foods than SLOW, and to eat more Slow foods than WHOA.

First week of Learn, Grow, Eat & Go! at Frank D. Moates Elementary complete!
I introduced the 10-week unit that is a hands-on curriculum that incorporates science, math, gardening and nutrition to two 3rd grade classes.
We had our first taste test of the series with the students' eating carrots. High marks all around!

Week 6 of our Walk N Talk series at Common Ground Ministries The scholars prepared cucumbers for tasting. They washed the vegetable, cleaned around their workspace and properly cut the veggies into slices for all to enjoy! All while looking cool in their MyPlate aprons. 😀
