Navigators USA Chapter 49 - Augusta County

This is the official Page of the Augusta County Navigators. Navigators is a co-ed, non-discriminatory scouting organization.

Navigators USA welcomes all people; boys and girls and adults no matter what gender, race, lifestyle, ability, religious or lack of religious belief. We believe the greatest challenge for the future of our planet is whether we will learn how to get along with people different than ourselves. Our Moral Compass: As a Navigator I promise to do my best to create a world free of prejudice and ignorance, to treat people of every race, creed, lifestyle and ability with dignity and respect, to strengthen my body and improve my mind to reach my full potential, to protect our planet and preserve our freedom.

Mission: Our mission is to teach future generations how to navigate the challenges of living outdoors while navigating the conflicts that arise through human interaction. By teaching the young how to think for themselves while collaborating with others they can achieve anything.

[11/25/13]   Do all my Stargazers know their right hands from their lefts? Jrs and Srs are starting to work on knots - thought we could working on a few simple ones, too. ~Michele

Navigators! Jim Belcher has graciously accepted our invite to come and speak to the kids on Tuesday nite. A couple of our kids have met Mr Belcher when he came to the UUFW and spoke with the RE classes. Attached please find a link to the story of his father's survival after the torpedoing of the USS Indianapolis. Mr Belcher will be speaking from 6:45 -7:30 - so please be on time and ready to go. Forty-five minutes won't seem nearly long enough with this amazing guest speaker, so we don't want to waste a minute!
