Why do we have horses at Never Say Never? They are big and eat SO much and make even more poo, right? What about those vet bills? And safety? It’s really expensive and involved, right? Why not keep llamas or sheep or dogs or parrots ? Or give rides on Four Wheelers?
What is the point? What makes us believe in what we do?

Horses have a special attraction among other animals in some special ways-though they are large and powerful (so practicing safety and understanding their psychology is certainly crucial), they are intuitive, relational and interested in cooperating as partners with humans.
Each horse is every bit a horse, but has its own distinct personality.
The beauty of horses doesn’t consist only in getting to sit on and ride them (though there are benefits from this alone!). Horses are life, design, art, memories, history. They provide limitless opportunities to learn ABOUT life, about them, about ourselves - simply through their everyday care, training, and handling. They are simple - and yet will never stop surprising you with their intricacies!
Horses have the ability to both bring out and reflect who WE are, to the depths of our emotions, and help us to connect and heal.

The Equine Assisted Activities Program through Never Say Never Foundation consists of a ten week session of half hour individualized horse time for each participant.
We offer a unique experience in a relaxed and peaceful setting, with many options of ways to interact with horses: these may include a hand led trail ride, a one on one lesson, learning how to maneuver and communicate safely with a horse from the ground, grooming, and more!

The program is equipped with Staff and Volunteers (and horses and ponies 🙂 ) who have a heart to understand and adjust to the specific needs and abilities of each participant on any given day.
We have a desire to love and serve each person who comes to Never Say Never, and believe (and have had confirmed many times over!) that horses are the most effective connecting point for us to do this.

Contact us today if you would like more information on Never Say Never Foundation and/or to register for the spring session - May will be here before we know it!

General information

Sessions include assisted recreational riding on trails and in our outdoor arena, as well as time to groom, pet and bond with the horse. The gentle movement and warmth of the horse stimulates flexibility and a natural release of tension and stress. Participants can learn about the principles of safe horsemanship and the basics of riding, if one of their goals includes learning how to ride. For those who are unable or not ready to ride, many find deep satisfaction and empowerment in learning how to lead a horse from the ground, and most children simply love just being near these kind, intuitive, and loving animals. This program is unique and personal to each participant.
