Congrats to good customer and friend Eric LaRoche on making the Hawkeye. Beautiful fish buddy! Congrats!
I always wanted to be in the Hawkeye. I never have been, but I have helped a few other's make it. And to me that's just as cool.😎 Timber Tackle for the win!

The boy worked hard for these. Still alot of green leaves on the trees. Tough to get a shot off. He must of put up 10-12 birds. I got opportunities on 4 of them. Totally whiffed on one of them. We've seen plenty of woodcock this year!

The good old barter system is alive and well! 🎣
David Rossler of D.R. Custom Fly Works, out of the great state of Maine, reached out to tell me he’d been having good success with my Timber Tackle spoons. During our conversation, he mentioned that he ties his own flies. One thing led to another, and we worked out a swap—some of my spoons for his variation of the Blood N Guts fly!
These flies look fantastic. You can see the care that went into tying them, and I can’t wait to get them wet!
One of my favorite parts of building Timber Tackle is meeting other fishermen and talented folks who enjoy making tackle as much as I do. Pretty cool when a conversation turns into a trade like this.
You all should check out his work at D.R. Custom Fly Works! He’s a talented fly tier, and I’m glad we connected.
Thanks again, David! Hopefully we’ll both have some fish pictures to trade next! 👊🎣
