Velda Huffstickler Bazzle (1924-2012)

CRAMERTON - Velda Huffstickler Bazzle, 87, lived an extraordinary Christian life and went home to be with the Lord on June 9, 2012.
She was born Sept. 2, 1924, the first child of the late Lander Huffstickler and Martha Jane Burchfield Huffstickler.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Roy "Eddie" Bazzle and David "Wayne" Bazzle; brother, Ralph W. Huffstickler. She is survived by her husband of nearly 72 years, Roy E. Bazzle; son, Ronnie R. Bazzle and wife Sheila; daughter, Wanda B. Strickland; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Velda was a lifelong member of McAdenville Wesleyan Church where she taught Sunday School for over 30 years. Her community involvement reflected her love for others. She touched many lives and her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. We will miss you Memaw!

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McAdenville Wesleyan Church, officiated by Pastor Brain Matherly. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd. Gastonia, NC 28052. Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
