3-1 this weekend in Wellington (including a standout game with a nice Jupiter Jaguars squad). These boys stuck to the plan and ran the floor, stayed aggressive + relentless, and showed tremendous growth in their communication and how they held each other accountable. Pushed each other, and the rock, all weekend.

This Cru took the court this weekend for their first tourney at The Beach tournament. Played fast, played tough defense, and played for each other. Laid the foundation for who they are going to be as a squad. Got great reps and battled with good DB Hoops and Florida Elite teams, then beat who was in front of them and came away with a championship 😤

Special group that I couldn’t be prouder of.

Wishing a MASSIVE 18th Birthday!!!!!

Hell of a basketball journey for this guy! Been with us since 6th grade and has done nothing but be a problem in the paint, with Jokic-like court vision and a knack for knocking down big threes (Killian can tell you). Even reaching a 1000 career High School points milestone!!!!But more importantly AP is an amazing young man, teammate, and friend.

He’s going to kill whatever comes next for him and we couldn’t be any prouder of him! Who knows, maybe we’ll see him in the sideline leading the next generation of Crusaders one day…

Told these guys around Thanksgiving that a lot of teams throw the word “family” around pretty loosely. It’s in their huddle breaks, on the back of their warmups, and all over their social media. But these special young men and their amazing families have lived it since I met them.

They have been some of the reasons why I still do this. It’s crazy we are almost at the finish line!

Christian has always said more with his effort and his work ethic than his words. He’s come a long way in his basketball journey. From rec teams to JV MVP to Varsity Viper. I’ve watched Christian not just in height, not just on the court, but as an incredible young man that any coach would be lucky to have. Happy the universe brought him back to us in 8th grade and we never looked back. Primed to finish his Senior year strong!!! Proud of this kid more than he knows.

We’ve had the opportunity to watch Eddie grow from “Storm” to 3-year Varsity player for Varela HS, and everywhere in between. As he’s grown and gotten older he’s never stopped carrying himself with humility, heart, toughness, hustle, and a willingness to do whatever he can to help his teammates and coaches. While sometimes also willing to throw an elbow into somebody’s chest. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to coach such a special young man! Proud of him beyond words.

Big games during the first week of December for some of our CRU boys!!!

Some 🪣 getters out here in West Kendall!

What some people may not know is I was ready to give up coaching after my grandfather passed away in 2018. Then I took over a group of 6th graders who were so hungry to learn and get better (and they were talented) and they reminded why I loved doing this….

Well 6 years later and we are here. These boys took the court tonight for their last first game of the season for their high school careers and absolutely dismantled their opponent. When you hear coaches talk about guys playing for each other, these young men are it. Now here they are as Seniors stepping into their last HS season together and looking stronger than they’ve ever ever have.

Often you plant the seeds but never get to see the harvest, so the fact we were able to take this picture tonight is incredibly humbling to me. They’ve created something that will last beyond the time the ball eventually stops going through the net.

It’s been a hell of a journey, but these young men are locked in and ready to make this season a special one.

Call them CHAMPS, this 2028 CRU does it again! Taking home the chip at this weekends Youth Showdown V tournament!!

After a 1 point win in their first game these guys went 5-0 on the weekend dominating the rest of their games to take home the hardware.

Watching them playing hard, playing tough, and playing for each other and growing is a joy.

CHAMPS AGAIN

Winning thier first tournament at this past weekends The Champions Challenge.

After a tough loss Saturday, these guys bounced back big and dominated Championship Sunday—going 3–0 and holding every team to 31 points or less. Even ran it back and absolutely handled the team that got them in pool play.

Locked in. Connected. Tough as hell. Played for each other—and defended like dogs.

Leaders rose. Roles were embraced. They never flinched. This group grew.

These boys continue to be special.
