Congrats to Syd and her North Newton teammates on an incredible season and State Championship. Syd had big goals for this season and she crushed them! She ended up being the season stat leader in ERA (0.35) and strikeouts (373). She ended her career with 1,068 strikeouts and a 0.48 ERA! AMAZING! Syd and her teammates were only the 2nd team in history to not give up a single run in the State tournament. I’m so proud of Syd, but not only for what she does on the field. She was Valedictorian of her class and an all around great person. I can’t wait to see what you accomplish in your next adventure as an ECU Pirate.
