EFFECTIVE SEPT. 3:
In an effort to maintain a safe and professional playing environment, Ouachita Parish Schools strictly prohibits any individual on the sideline, courtside or field of play without a proper credential. In compliance with the LHSAA, only authorized personnel will be given credentials. All media credentials will be approved through Ouachita Parish Schools personnel and school administrators. All sideline credentials will be approved by the school principal, athletic director or designee.
This credential will give access to ALL athletic events at Ouachita Parish Schools and is not in association with the LHSAA.
However, this action is in compliance with the LHSAA Handbook, 6.26 CONTEST MANAGEMENT - A school shall be prohibited from allowing unauthorized personnel on its sideline and/or its team bench area during any LHSAA contest at any level of play. Penalties may be imposed under the “Penalty Code” section on the school and/or individual(s) to a degree in keeping with the severity of the violation.
