30 days left, I can see the finish line, this fast hasn’t been easy but boy was it necessary. Not sure if I’ll ever go back. I’ll probably go back cause I do enjoy an occasional cocktail and the feeling it gives me but y’all know what I mean. Finding healthier ways to self-soothe has not been easy but it wasn’t that hard either🤷🏾‍♀️, even though I’m counting down the days😂🤣😂 don’t pay me no mind….

Relationships are your greatest teachers when it comes to coexisting with another person. We have become so independent that we have forgotten how to coexist with friends, family and our partners. Back to the basics. Some of us are still crawling when it comes to conflict resolution and accepting a person as they are in their fullest. Some of us still struggle and want to dim the light of others because we ourselves aren’t their. Building trust first starts with us and how we perceive ourselves to be in relationship dynamics. Ownership for how we show up as oppose to shooting blame on the other person. I’m learning that first it starts with me and whatever seeds I’m planting and cultivating between me and said person. This truly takes time and patience. I’m patient enough to allow trust to grow and develop in all of my relationships.

Understand when you keep people at arms length you’re actually feeding your trauma. Instead of creating barriers, try creating a bridge that helps a person better understand where you’re coming from and how to treat you. The people who are meant to be in your life will understand but you have to speak up first cause no one can read your mind. Loving self means being brave enough to let people in.
