Yesterday I witnessed something spectacular!! 65 year old Michael Fegan held his breath for over 7 minutes during my directional breathwork class . Michael is a naval architect and explained to me that while he never timed his breath-holds he routinely holds his breath for his work . He was amazed by the actual times he was putting up after several rounds of Ageless directional breathing.
There were several others in the class that completed 3.4 and 5 minute breath-holds as well !! What an amazing group of people pushing their boundaries and doing the almost impossible !!

Our protocol adapts the Wim Hof method to Tulum’s warm climate, which accelerates temperature restabilization and allows for 120 more seconds of psychological adaptation training.
Nearly two decades of experience and 10,000 ice baths in Tulum have confirmed that even beginner ice bathers can easily go beyond the Wim Hof method’s suggestion of 3 minutes.
However, the 10 minute protocols of early ice bathing methods are often seen as an overwhelming challenge.
5 minutes is the perfect sweet spot: bathers obtain all of the physical benefits of improved circulation, brown adipose tissue generation and metabolic enhancement without extreme discomfort at the extremities.
The extra two minutes beyond Wim’s protocol allow for enhanced psychological benefits. Mood is greatly enhanced as that time allows for serotonin to convert into vasopressin, which secondarily is generated into dimethyltryptamine.
This means that a 5 minute ice bath provides greater psychological benefits over a 3 minute ice bath without pushing the body to extreme times that would make ice bathing seem unapproachable.
