Coordinating first aid training for hundreds of students across multiple schools can get complicated fast.

The Waterloo Catholic District School Board needed Grade 11 and 12 SHSM students to complete their required Standard First Aid + CPR-C certification, but scheduling, instructor availability, student volume, and on-site logistics made it a challenge.

We helped simplify the process by coordinating flexible training dates, providing on-site instruction, and keeping pricing and terms clear from the start.

The result: less admin stress for staff and students who left certified, confident, and better prepared to respond when it matters.

Need training for a large group or multiple locations? We can help make it easier.

Stroke recognition does not need to be complicated. It just needs to be FAST β€οΈπŸš‘

Face. Check for drooping or uneven expression.
Arms. See if both can be raised evenly.
Speech. Listen for slurring or confusion.
Time. Call 911 immediately if you notice any of these signs.

The faster the response, the better the outcome. FAST turns uncertainty into action when it matters most.

Each year in Canada, more than 100,000 strokes occur, making it one of the leading causes of death and long-term disability. Survival often depends on how quickly people recognize the signs and act.

That is why the FAST signs of stroke matter so much.

Face drooping
Arm weakness
Speech difficulty
Time to call 911

Awareness and early action can change outcomes in a matter of minutes.
At First Aid Canada, preparedness starts with knowing what to do when every second counts.

Quick reminder to check the safety gear in your work vehicles πŸš™πŸ›»πŸšš

It's easy for things like AEDs and first aid kits to get tossed into a truck and slowly become something you stop thinking about.

They sit through hot summers, freezing winters, and constant job site travel, and over time they can get overlooked without anyone really noticing.

These are still pieces of life saving equipment, and they only help if they are actually ready to go when needed.

Taking a few minutes to check what is sitting in your vehicles can make a real difference down the line.

When a school board reached out to us recently, they were running into a familiar challenge with their training program. Students needed certification, but the logistics were eating up everyone's time.

The original approach looked like this:
1. Send students off-site
2. Coordinate schedules
3. Arrange transportation
4. Work around availability

It worked, but it came with a lot of moving parts.

So we tried something different. Instead of sending students out, we brought the training to them. Same certification. Same requirements. Just delivered on-site, at their schools.

From there, we mapped out the schedule across multiple locations together. Each semester was planned in advance. Students signed up, instructors showed up, and training ran at times that made sense for the school day.

No transportation. No external coordination. No disruption to operations. Everything stayed within their environment, and the students felt more comfortable learning in a space they already knew.

If you're managing training for your school or organization and the logistics are starting to add up, we'd love to chat about what on-site delivery could look like for you.

When was the last time your eyewash stations were checked? πŸ‘οΈ πŸ‘οΈ

Eyewash solutions are often overlooked, but they do expire and lose effectiveness over time. In an emergency, that's not something you want to discover too late.

Most expiry dates can be found directly on the bottle or on the station packaging itself. It's also important to check that the solution is sealed, clear, and stored in the correct conditions.

A quick check today helps ensure your eyewash is actually ready when it is needed most!

Swim clubs, rowing teams, sailing programs, and lifeguard stations need a different kind of kit. Water sports bring their own set of risks, from cuts and scrapes to heat exposure and aquatic injuries, and a standard athletic kit is not always enough.

That is why we offer a dedicated Water Sports Kit built for boats, docks, marinas, and waterfront programs. Whatever the environment, there is a First Aid Canada kit designed for it.

Learn more about our Water Sports Kit on our website.

What if you had a safety partner, not just a supplier?

Most companies order first aid and safety supplies, receive them, and move on. That works until it doesn't. Items run out without warning, supplies expire unnoticed, requirements change, and different locations start doing things differently. Before long, everything becomes reactive and someone internally has to constantly manage it.

What we have been building at First Aid Canada is a different approach. Instead of just fulfilling orders, we look at how supplies are actually being used across workplaces and build systems around that. This means products are replenished when needed, teams stay consistent, and nothing gets missed.

It turns safety from something reactive into something predictable and reliable, which is what most organizations actually need once they step back and look at it.
