I've been thinking a great deal about the realities of our present moment with the virus and the studio. As you know the studio has been sitting empty for over 6 months now. Who would have ever imagined that we would be in this situation. I've been talking with students in class over the past weeks and the consensus is that you all are happy with taking classes from home on zoom as we have been doing and are not interested in returning to the studio until this virus has passed. I just can't imagine holding class-14 ft apart wearing masks. That just seems illogical to me and certainly not conducive to relaxation and healing.

With that in mind, I plan to remain an online studio for the foreseeable future which means that I might need to let go of our beloved studio. So sad. 2020 seems to have been a time for letting go. Letting go of plans, of expectations, letting go of life as we knew it. For many there is also a new sense of awareness, an appreciation for what truly matters, a welcoming of more time to create and expand and let go of what we no longer need. In all the great spiritual teachings the same message rings true-peace comes from accepting all that is. Everything is impermanent and there is much we can't control in life. When we rest in the moment and find acceptance peace can be found in even the most difficult times.

So what to do. I have a lease until Feb 2022. Ideally I would like to find one person or a few to sublet the studio from me on a monthly basis. In that way the studio would not be lost and we could return in the future. Of course, the other option is to find someone to take over the lease and I would let go of the studio permanently. I will see what is meant to be and allow it to happen as it should.

What I do know: Pure Light Yoga is alive and well. We will continue online and our community will remain intact. I will continue to grow and change with time and will be open to modifying the schedule as needed. Please tell me what you want and need going forward. Please Request classes and class times. The Oct retreat is cancelled but I know that we will have retreats in the future when the time is right.
