Harrison (10 years old) Drills Progression to Full Windup. Developing consistent mechanics to improve and emphasize accuracy. Last week Harrison was a starting pitcher for the first time ever. Our message to Harrison . “ Trust the Process and focus on throwing strikes to your catcher. If the other team hits the ball I will applaud you for throwing a good pitch. Let your defense help you. And first pitch strikes are the most important pitch…..and have fun!”
His results? Two innings pitched…..51 pitches….63% of his pitches were strikes. 60% of his first pitches to batters were strikes. Four strike outs….two walks …. Five hits…….three runs. And a big smile on his face! Exactly what we asked him to do!
